I'm watching the games and he doesn't look like he cares...he backchecks like he's too good for it and when his wussy stick swipes fail he just stops and watches.

Thornton's style isn't suited to the playoffs. He looks like a floater to me. He doesn't take it hard to the net...ever.

And BJHunter was telling us how he would love to have him on the Canucks any day over the "sweedish meatballs" We had a pretty good debate here about a month ago regarding Joe Thornton and I told BJH that Thornton was invisible in the playoffs but didn't believe me.

His stats so far:

GP 4
G 0
A 2
PTS 2
-4
Giveaways: 7
Takeaways: 2

Players who have more points than Joe Thornton this postseason:

Enough said! I don't ever want to see that sack of crap in a Canucks uniform.

No wonder Boston got rid of him for virtually nothing.

It's so typical of a canucklehead. You nitpick over a few goals here and there, how dare you mention the friggin' swedish meatballs in the same breath as Thornton. I'm even willing to go out and say that most Canucklheads would trade the Sedin Sissies, along with their jock straps, for Joe ANYDAY.

Neither of them have won Cups, but pure talent alone, as well as grittiness, leadership, BIG center, and heart, it's pretty obvious except for stupid human beings like you, Trackie and Xerox. Seriously.

If I sound more tougher, then it's b/c you're asking for it, and deserve it. A true fan who cares about the Nucks knows it's time to move on w/o the Sedin Sissies; we haven't won so far they've been here, think it's really going to hurt us if these greedy sucks sign w/ toronto (please, burkie, do your stupid usual moves like when you were here)?

I'd go pay $$$ to see Ovechkin, Thornton, etc. but certainly the Sedin Suckies dont' give anyone an erection unless you're Trackie, Xerox or Stupidbutdumb....

I had to go out and pull that quote up just to remind everyone what a total know nothing buffoon BJHunter was in case anyone forgot.

Anyone who really knows hockey realizes that Thornton was before and is this year a total no show when it comes to the playoffs and is one of the main reasons for the Sharks continual early exits for the golf course.
LOL, good find!

In tonight's game you could clearly see that Thornton has no grit and no heart. Talk about not being into it. I'll take the Sedins over Joe any day, thank you very much.

Hopefully he won't make it to the Olympic team next year.

Joe Thornton vs the Sedins pre-2009 playoffs... obviously Joe Thornton.
All are elite regular season performers, there's no doubt denying it. Plus Thornton can play physical and carry a team on his back.

Now, the Sedins have cranked up their games in this post-season. Playing the body, posting up points and actually being an offensive threat on the ice.

For Joe, he's basically like Bertuzzi without the headcase. A big forward with all the skills in the world, and apparently right now, the same defensive liabilities.

Obviously he's a pass-first type of player, and oddly enough, his stats for the post-season isn't that bad. Roughly 70 games played and like almost 50 points.... but I guess he's like Naslund, still able to put up points in the playoffs, but nothing clutch or tide turning.

Maybe it's Marleau (Canadian version of Naslund) being a bad influence.

I can only say sigh about the sharks... really amazing, I caught the third period and they look like a mess!! No heart, grit, anything. The ducks didn't even look like they had to try too much! Thornton's giveaway for the third goal was brutal.

Really inexcusable, they've got to blow up some pieces, namely both Marleau and Thornton. Maybe if they had Luongo lol.

Neither of these teams has a chance going past the second round either.

EDIT: And because we're pulling old quotes :D

sorry but zerox is right,

Anyone sucking joe thortons cock is only looking at stats and actually doesn't follow hockey. You bull shitters! :) Anyone who play hockey pools and has thornton their team would know I want I mean.

:p

Joe will never be half the player Mats is. At Joes age, Mats would dominate a game in playoffs. One thing for sure he showed up each game. Mats will change your mind before the season is over

I think I am the only one at work who didn't load up on san jose players, for our draft. But I have liked how Anaheim plays in the playoffs. Canucks and Wings both swept, but I think Anaheim has played the best so far this round.
Thornton has looked terrible, but his entire team has.

I would love to see Wings/Ducks next round. Plus I am headed down to LA anyways in a couple weeks, sure wouldn't mind taking in a game down there.
Pretending I am a duck :p

Its still not a hockey market. The Honda center was not sold out for last night's Ducks-Sharks game. On TV you can clearly see lots of empty seats. This is a team that just won a cup in 2007 and are on fire.

The first line of Perry, Getlazf and Ryan are crazy good.

So true. Sad that the Ducks and Devils can't sellout a playoff game.
