Would you use a credit card for a session?

There's a notorious provider now touting CC payments in her ads. Based on reviews and track record, I would say it's risky at best and likely foolhardy to trust your credit card info with that particular individual.

Made me think, would you ever really even want to use a credit card? Discretion, paper trail, fraud, I can think of many reasons why not and very few, if any in support of doing so. Opinions welcome, let's keep it civil please.
Personally no because C 36 makes everything criminalized and I would not want to accidentally shoot myself in the foot by incriminating myself on bank statements, effectively leaving paper trails as evidence I cannot erase. It's not even about jail time or punishment but just about avoiding run ins altogether with the law. I get that it's convenient for people but until sex work goes back to being legal in Canada I will be using cash only.

So can restaurants and gas stations. I've been scammed at both of those.
There’s a risk everywhere. Even if you’re careful about where you use your credit card, I mean a few years back, there was a huge data breach at Desjardins Bank. You’d assume you can trust your bank…

Always be careful at restaurants. Never let any staff walk away with your card to scan it. They can copy the card when it’s out of your sight.
This was the main source of card theft for years.
Staff should bring the terminal to you. You tap it. Never let anyone else touch your card.

It’s very normal in the US that the waiter will leave with your card. Always stresses me out a little

FUCK THAT!

Don’t give them your card. Period. It's your property not theirs!
You might have to walk to the terminal, but never allow them to walk away with your card.
And if they bitch about it give them a zero tip.

A further risk with credit cards is fake scanners.
These were very rare but tech savvy criminals are sharing them.
It looks like a regular point of sale device but it captures all your data as the transaction is processed. They are usually on ATM's and self serve gas pumps. They are self contained, battery operated and can be installed in seconds. Sometimes they store data, some transmit to a crook waiting nearby.

If you see anything even a bit off with a reader be suspicious. Sometimes you can pull them off yourself. If you find one grab it and call police. Don't give it to the store staff or anyone else!

Here is one in a 7-Eleven.

I have done it and would not do it again because I don't trust those blood sucking, unconscious criminal cunts known as.....banks.

I have no faith in banks to keep my information confidential. I have no faith in banks to not to out me or to pursue me or to follow up with me about what I was doing with xyz. I know the ladies don't register themselves as "Bambi's Bimbo Service" but if there's ever an issue between them and the bank and the bank knows what service they are offering I have no confidence the bank won't somehow bring up my commerce with the lady.

There is a slight difference, for example I gave my card to one of established mobile chain, it was my first ever purchase with that new card (thats how I knew it was that chain itself where fraud happened. I came to know next day that I had two unauthorised transations. When contacting bank you can easily say where do you suspect the fraud happened but I dont think its gonna fly if you use it at unregistered business or for pooning. Canadian law says selling sex is legal but buying is not.
If you know the provider then I would have no security issues using the card. It is fairly easy to put card readers into authentic retail stores and no one notices them. Many employees are just there for a paycheque and don't pay attention to things like tampered devices. Or they may even take a few hundred to allow one during a shift.

A big store like the Bay doesn’t have staff watching the terminals all the time.
At a place like 7-Eleven or a lone employee at a gas bar, same thing. One person can’t see everything.
Skimmers can be put on an ATM when nobody is looking easily.
