Moby Dicks has been in White Rock since like 1975 or something. It's the restaurant opening in Coal Harbour that's upset the strata and is now front and center in the news.
This is a good example of Vancouver & area at it's worst. The overbearing "get the government involved in everything" mentality that is all too common in Vancouver & area. I got it when someone was upset that a Surrey bar named a drink the "Willie Pickton". Yeah, it's OK to be outraged about that because it was a stupid choice to begin with. But "Moby Dick" is the name of a literary classic & if you're offended by that maybe you need to expand your mind a bit. Ironic really give all the issues in Vancouver that are WAY more important.
