I know most guys dont have a problem with it. How about females does it really matter dating someone 15 yrs older? I have this friend who's 35 and his gf is 21 and she's leaving him cause of the age cap. She told him that's the only reason she's leaving and she's very happy with this guy. I think it's kinda old fashion and lame reason.

15 years is a big difference, especially at 21. If all of her friends are 21 than it is difficult to fit.

Of course these situations are so dependent on the people involved - anyway good for him - nothing thing young people to keep you thinking young.

So she only found out after they established a relationship that he was 15 yrs older?  Sounds bogus to me.

I agree. I new a guy who dated a lady 25 years younger than him (50 vs 25). It was the situation. She had a job that did not allow her to have very much social time and when she did the hours never fit her friends.

They hooked up and met each others needs very well.

When she needed time with her age group he gave it to her and vice versa.

All in all the relationship for them was one we could all envy. Total dedication to each others needs and an understanding of when they both needed their space.

It depends on how much you have in common

When I was 17, my long term boyfriend was 31. It was a good fit, as I had been living on my own for a couple of years and already had my own business. The 'boys' who were my age were still living at home. Heck, some 25 year olds were still at home and/or working beginner jobs. I wasn't looking for a man with money - I was looking for a man who was as hard working, passionate and ambitious as me.....and none of the young ones fit the bill.

If you have enough in common that you have plenty to talk about, and enough common interests to keep you both entertained - then age doesn't matter. If a large part of your relationship is based on physical activities (rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking etc.) then an age difference could be a problem as you both age.

My love interest is twenty years younger than me. We have an open relationship and she's not living here right now. But it works quite well for us.

I actually surprise myself, because this is probably the first real mature relationship I've ever had. I have none of the issues I've had in other relationships.

On the other hand, I've been having problems with wax in my ears and I went into the drugstore today to buy some earwax remover, and when I couldn't hear the young lady cashier, I said I couldn't hear to which she said, "Oh yes, my dad's like that, too."

Made me feel old indeed.

In my case every girl i date is early 20s and same with the sp i see. Most gals are opened minded about age nowadays. I feel sorry for this guy i know cause his ex is very old fashion.

Quality, not quantity.
Now days its hard to base anything on age. With the way society is going some people are going through more trauma at much younger ages. Plus with all the different racial backgrounds in Vancouver people are also being raised very differently. A male can be in hes 30s, or 40s, and have dealt with much simillar situations as girl in her 20s because of the way things are advancing and visa versa. On top of all of this it is much easier for someone going through there younger years, a girl especially, to find comfort with someone who has been through the ups and downs and has a little experience to offer.

I myself have been in relationships with older men and as much as I find it a better fit, at times, the gap is always more prominent when at social gatherings and usually becomes a problem.

I don't think its a matter of age. It's a matter of weather she likes him enough or not to stay in a relationship with him. Looking at her actions-she left him for other reasons but she's using the age thing as an excuse. Where was this issue 1 month into their relationship. She did not change, only her interest level did.

I recently read about a study from Denamrk or Norway that concluded for a variety of reasons, a 12 year age spread between a man and woman is ideal.

In each of the last 2 summers I've met 2 women who were both 30 and with both there was a bit of a spark. Problem is I'm not 30 nor the optimum age of 42 or 45 or 50...but 54:eek: Today it would be challenging enough but not insurmountable to overcome that large a gap. However down the road when say they are my age now, I would be almost 80:eek::eek:....then I think it would be huge...

Peace

Well I'm not in a real "dating" situation and the handle implies, but I have been seeing a young woman for about 2.5yrs and she's 18 years younger than me, I'm 45. We're in touch pretty much daily and sometimes I feel we're on the same wavelength, ie we both have kids the same age, and sometime I feel we're miles apart. ie she's going to the PNE halloween fright night tonight, which is what my 10 year old daughter was asking me about yesterday.

That is a lots of true in it. I have talked to many 20s girls ,many of them prefer older men because of their maturity.

Even to myself , my SO is 15 younger than I do and we have been seeing each other for the last 3 years!:p

when i was 18, i dated a 28yr old and i NEVER saw the age difference. EVER. Only years later did I reflect back and had to think about how much older he was than me. I also dated someone 28yrs older than me and I've dated someone 10yrs younger than me.

That girl probably THOUGHT she wanted to settle down, and an older man is ideal for that, but than with all her young friends, she thought about it again and decided she still wanted to party.

My mother always asks me to find an older man who will be more settled in all aspects of his life and will more likely treat me with more respect than a younger guy. Actually, i once brought a younger guy home and she freaked out...soo...yeah...

My current beau happens to be the same age as me and this is the first time EVER i have dated anyone the same age as me. Mostly because the chinese zodiac claims that 2 people of my sign under one roof will cause the whole village to not sleep hehe....

only problem I find w/ younger girls in general is that they don't suck good cock or allow cum on their faces...

guess that's why they say experience counts ;):D

this is a very good point...

women mature much faster than men...

it is so difficult, if not impossble, for a mature thoughtful women in her early twenties, to find the same in a man...

men are about 10 to 15 years behind women when it comes to maturity...
