Thanks for the tip. I am going to start hoarding Vitamins, missed the boat on hand sanitizers.

Just kidding. Everyone please read up on WHO, Health Canada, and BCCDC websites for up to date info. These are the best sources of information.

Big_Jack I haven't had a cold or flu in many many moons...had a sniffle here and there, but nothing that would qualify as being sick. Except for my Driver's Medical I haven't been to a doctor in over 40 years.....in fact I don't even have an MSP number......but I still have my Class 1 DL. I don't take vitamins or supplements of any kind and eat whatever the hell tastes good. Sleep depends on whether the dog lets me. Some people get lucky, some don't...

Maybe you should have read my entire original post, before mentioning "science." Everyone in my family (parents, siblings, grandparents) take, or have taken vitamins/supplements, and none have ever had "kidney stones." One of them lived to 103, dying peacefully in sleep. And you failed to mention the science that has shown Vitamin C, especially the best kind (as mentioned in my original post), to be vital in boosting immunity, the maintenance of cartilage and bones, the absorption of iron, guarding against cardiovascular disease etc...
Your have developed your own science based on your family's health history. You think whatever works for you or your family must be good for every body else.
Poor vitamins can't make stupid people scientists, that is for sure :(

One of the problems with listening to "Scientists and Doctors," is that scientists and doctors have vastly varying opinions on all kinds of things just as the average person does. And scientists follow the herd mentality just as all other people do. What is taken as consensus scientific truth today, may be totally disproven in the future.

Just as an example; one of my heros growing up in the early 70's was Dr. Linus Pauling, a brilliant bio-chemist who won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry. He was a strong proponent for the value of taking Vitamin C and other Vitamin supplements. He was a scientist, a brilliant one as a matter of fact. I have to this day followed his advice and taken Vitamin supplements, I'm 65 and still healthy, knock on wood. So, I think I'll keep following his advice. It's worked so far. ;)
I’d like to know Bad Santa.....how you feel about Asian Fever’s claim that you don’t exist?

Ive not been that good this year, but I’d like to request a bottle of Flintstones Chewables, wrapped in toilet paper, if you don’t mind...you know just to be on the safe side.
