watching from the sidelines
For anyone who had a playtime with me this weekend. I got food poisoning on Friday night and spent early Staturday in the hospitol being pumped with with fluid and then the evening at my moms. I left a message on my cell. phone to indicate that I was sick, but unfortunately was not near a computer or a discreet telephone (we all know how moms are) to let anyone personally know. I can't say enough how sorry I am and I know of one individual who took time out of his busy schedule to come to Victoria to see me. I will somehow make it up to you. I have not been this sick, ever and I hope to never experience it again (my tummy and my ribs are still sore). For those that know me or that have seen me know that I am too little to lose any weight, due to a sickness, so it was ultra important to make sure that everything was alright. Again, my apologies for those that I stood up, pm me and I will try my very best to make it up to you!

P.S. If you have sent me a pm or an email in the last day or two, please be patient, I may not get to them today, but for sure I will respond as I always do, as soon as I can. I am still feeling a bit, yucky, so I will do the best I can.

Get well soon

Hope you feel better quickly. I had food poisoning a few years ago and I weigh next to nothing (literally)... Not sure how close to death I was, but it was scary.

Take care,

Don't you just know when you feel so bad and then you get a little better, you feel like you could run a small marathon (decoded means bathroom and back). I mean I feel better, but truely anything was better than praying to the porcelain god so much that you feel like you have been ordained or something!!

Wolverine you are sick.....

Puking, I was talking about puking! God, whilst feeling like hell, I don't see any friends (definition-clients), they deserve way better than someone who looks like hell and feels like hell!

Bananas LG - why? Liquids I was told (gatorade does the same as pedialyte), tomorrow I am allowed solid foods again. But what do bananas have or are you saying I am a monkey?

Lots of Potassium content in Bananas which is excellent for treating Rheumatoid Arthritis and Heart Disease...um, can't say what good it has against food poisoning but my parents used to always feed me Bananas and ginger Ale whenever I got sick as a kid. So it can't hurt. Toast might help too by the way
Did a google and found some interesting information regarding Bananas: http://www.ext.colostate.edu/pubs/columnnn/nn981104.html
"Deficiencies of potassium are not common, but can result from excessive losses through prolonged vomiting, chronic diarrhea and laxative abuse. In extreme cases, potassium loss can cause heart failure and death."

doctor recommended for tummy troubles: BRAT

Bananas
Rice
Apple sauce
Tea

Gotsome is right ... bananas are high in potassium which is lost when fluids are lost ... also contain lots of nutrients.

Rice ... lots of B vitamins ... also lost in ... well, you know.

Apple sauce ... the pectin in apples helps to stop ... well, you know.

Tea ... preferably green tea, no milk or sugar, is for fluids and your immune system.

Get well!

I hope you are feeling better Eden. I have had food poisoning as well. You feel as though you would have to get better just to die.

Take the advice for the BRAT diet and don't rush it and keep yourself well hydrated.

Take care and get well soon!

Take care and....

avoid KFC. In fact do not walk within 100 yards of a KFC outlet. A difficult to describe chemical reaction occurs when the aroma of their chicken interacts with the feeling associated with food poisoning.

I am feeling better today, but....

I don't want to put food into my mouth! Maybe it is a fear thing, I can't look at it and I certainly don't want to smell it, ick! I have had some watered down applejuice, but my tummy is grumbling and I am sure that I have lost a couple of pounds. I called my doctor and she suggested I go back onto boost - yuk. What now, body is tired, but way better than it was, it feels like it does need food. If I put something in will it not want to exit right away? Thank you in advance you guy are the greatest!!

two things that slow the runs

bananas and well-cooked carrots. Not together necessarily. Large quantities of bread can help, too.

Hope you get well quickly.
