Yes, i work with people in the at risk population and it sounds like both corporations and government are going to make it hard to live a normal life without getting it.

Haven't had an opportunity, may be in the future, to ask the anti vaxers whose argument is they don't know what is in the vaccine, and thus won't get it ... to tell me what is in Diet Coke?

I was deeply disturbed to hear our top provincial health officer (aka the Grinch who stole our Christmas by being wishy washy and reacting too late) say that there would be no mandatory vaccinations. No Shit Sherlock! This is Canada for fuk sakes!!!!! We have rights, and freedoms, and to imply that such a thing was even a remote consideration or even potentially within your mandate to comment on is utterly reprehensible and an epic affront to our civil liberties. Fuuuuuk You!

As a Canadian, I have the right to choose what medications I take or not, and ain’t nobody gonna stick nothing in my arm without my consent.

I have the right to get vaccinated or not. I do not have the right to infect other people or to unduly risk their right to health and safety. If the public health order is to wear a mask in public and not congregate in groups, I do not have the right to violate those restrictions and endanger other people. I may not be able to go shopping, to the theatre, travel, or attend gatherings once vaccines are available, if I choose not to get vaccinated right away.

it is up to me how long I want to sequester myself like a hermit while the rest of the world gets on with it. If I don’t want to be on the bleeding edge of vaccinations, I can choose to delay this invasive procedure as long as I want, however, I accept that my decision may make me isolated and socially outcast pretty quick. Nevertheless, if and when we decide that we are willing to get vaccinated, it must be the right of every freedom loving Canadian to decide for themselves when and if that is.

This is probably as good/reasonable of an "anti-vax" sentiment as anyone is going to present, and in particular the bolded parts.

I'm just tired of people going "b-b-but muh freedomz!" No, fuck you. You do not have to freedom to infect or harm others.

Nobody is forced to vaccinate. Workplaces are usually private property and owners can refuse access to non vaxxers. Private property owners can also refuse access to non maskers too.
If you don’t want to vax you have to accept that there may be consequences.

I don't drink Diet Coke or any soft drinks but I know what you mean...
I'm also not anti waxer, if I have to I will take it in the future I just won't be the first one in line to get it :)

For travelers which I was before Covid, some countries might make it mandatory or even airlines to allow entry so will see how it evolves going forward but at this point my choice is no for me thank you ...

Unless a widely available miracle cure/treatment comes along before my turn at the jab, I’ll take the vaccine when my time comes. Guessing I’m in the first group, or shortly thereafter, due to one of my occupations and looking forward to a new-new normal. I miss people, places and things.

Curious as to what qualifies you for that group, without sharing any personal information, of course.
To explain, in a nutshell, if I ever do take the vaccine, it won't be until after my current health issues are stabilized and my rheumatologist, neurologist, cardiologist and MD all agree that it's safe for me.

If people have underlying conditions, you can bet catching Covid will be a lot more dangerous than any vaccine.

Yup with ya there. I have underlying conditions that I want to see how they play out with
having taken a vaccine. I'll go ahead and do it when I feel more safe to indulge.
I've been taking the flu shot for many years and so far so good.
It has really helped me cope with the flu very well except for a couple years when
they guessed wrong which strain was coming.

My one concern that I have not heard any results on is if even you do GET the covid
vaccine it seems that this virus is so virulent that yes, it's possible to not get
sick but yet still transmit the virus upon being infected with it??

Or in other words, Will being vaccinated mean you don't spread it at the same time?
Like, sure you can be vaccinated, then pick up the virus and still spread it around??

These are questions that need answering, I want to see more research that answers
questions like that.

...........................QM'r
I did more research on it and found several things. One is that full immunity is not achieved until several days after getting the second shot according to the researchers. So if u still get infected before the second shot u are still fucked

The second thing I learned is that the researchers are unsure if those vaccinated are risky carriers of the virus (potential risk of transmitting to others within the first few days of vaccination)

My dad and I were having the most hilarious conversation a few days ago. He's like "imagine 20 million vaccinated Canadian's becoming weaponized carriers, the end of humanity" he phrased it way funnier tho ???
