Will Wrestlemania 28 be the end of "The Streak?"

The card at Wrestlemania doesn't interest me all that much except for the Undertaker vs HHH in a Hell in a Cell match. Not so much for the style of match as for whether or not it will be the Undertaker's last match. I was (and still am) a big Undertaker fan, due to the intensity and brutality of many of his matches (the Hell in a Cell versus Mankind is the best match in the history of the business IMO). He is 47 now and is fading and I think he should hang them up.

But as much as I hate to say it, the only way as a fan I could except this would be for him to end the streak, thus destroying the Undertaker. It would be a fitting way for him to end his Pro Wrestling career. But will it happen?

LOL I wish. He was the man. I think my Mom still has an action figure of him somewhere in a box in her basement.

to those who may criticise my interest in this, I suppose it stems from something that marks the passage of time. I grew up watching the WWE in the Attitude Era with Taker, HHH, The Rock, Stone Cold, Mankind, DX, etc. Yeah, I know it's scripted but the Undertaker is a legend in the business and the character is iconic. I just feel that if this is either or both these guys last match, it needs to be done right to do them justice. All things must end but my hope is it is satisfying to the true fans of the business.

Well, if I'm not mistaken ... Shawn Michaels is supposed to be special referee. That makes it even more interesting as Taker has defeated him legit twice at Wrestle Mania. HHH and HBK are friends ... but will the script play out as HBK being jealous of HHH to win, or spiteful of Taker because of his two losses? Should be a good match.

somewhat curious as an undertaker fan from my younger days. don't know if i want to see him with a bald head though. the long hair covering his face in the early days before the receding hairline was a cool part of his gimmick. as for the match itself, hell in a cells have lost their lustre because they're not allowed to be as brutal as they once were. no head chairshots, limited action inside the cage and the big thing which got the match over was guaranteed blood as you knew one or both guys were going to blade. under the pg rating the wwe has banned blading. maybe they will allow this one time because it's a big ppv match and triple h and undertaker have the most pull with the company to get an exemption.

as for the match itself undertaker goes over most likely because of interference gone wrong by michaels. as for undertaker coming back. maybe for next years wm as the last, as he could face either cena as they haven't matched them up in years or maybe the rock who has already said he's doing wm again.

Thats bullshit. If I were the undertaker I would refuse to fight. HBK the ref?! A ref should be there to enforce the rules fairly. HBK is far too biased to properly ref such an event.

I predict HBK will be a factor in the outcome of the match. WWE management will look the other way as usual.

Projected PPV of Wrestlemania 28 is at least 1 Million or more which is equivalent to some UFC or Boxing main events and everyone knows its sports entertainment. That means more than a million subscribers who are not kids are paying for it.

Btw, the UFC is actually following WWE's highly successful international marketing template. :nod:

Great card for Wrestlemania 28. I'd say the STREAK continues with the Undertaker going 20-0 in Wrestlemania as with the Oakland A's in " Moneyball ". Punk over Chris Jericho. And of course, in the main event, the Rock over Cena.

I always enjoyed watching the exciting British Bulldogs in the past. I remember during the tech boom in 1999 a powerful group of Wallstreet investors were known as D-Generation X from that popular wrestling stable. The biggest players were known as X-Pac, TripleH, Chyna, etc. WWE was popular in Wallstreet that's why they went public as well but wasted some dough on the short-lived XFL. The Attorney General at that time was probably busy banging hotties he allowed the players to play the game.

Actually great news for the profitability of the WWE as this solidifies their future with a pretty diverse demographic from the older to the younger generations unlike horseracing and boxing. Like what they say in marketing, if you get them at a young age they become your customer for life.

If you ave paid attention to the WWE the last few manias, the greats have been retired by other wrestlers, usually contemporaries. HBK retired Ric Flair, Taker retired HBK. In order for the Undertaker to be retired, HHH is the only person who should do it, beinghe is the only one left from that era. The Rock doesn't apply because he is not a regular roster member, even if he does come back in the next Wrestlemania. Having Cena or Randy Orton or someone like that end the streak would be very unsatisfying to me as a fan. I hope they do it right and end it here. 19-1 at Wrestlemania is still a mark no one will ever match and something to hang his hat on.

Precisely. For me 19 was when I stopped watching wrestling and started pooning. So the Undertaker is finally going to retire? Unbelievable. And he's still won every wrestlemania to date? I can't believe he's only 47. That's the age he looked twenty years ago. RIP dead man.
