I wonder if the Cancucks will make the playoffs next season ? If they miss the playoffs next season, the owners should get rid of the general manager.

The Canucks should make the playoffs with their upgrades in goal and defense. But once in the playoffs the Canucks have to keep up with other teams that can play a grinding physical puck pursuit style. I don't know if the Canucks can do that.

I really do no think the Canucks have the depth nor the right combination of players to make them playoff contenders next season . Things might change for the Canucks prior to the trade dead line next season to improve their possible chances to make to the playoffs .

Based on current line-up, definately NO!

Let's be serious...the Canucks have no chemistry what so ever, and they now have a bunch of 1 million a yr type players that think 12 goals is an awesome season. If I was Naslund, I would actually demand a trade, and try to play on an exciting team elsewhere.

Canucks are definately worse than:

Detroit
Dallas
Anahiem
San Jose
Calgary
Nashville

That leaves them fighting for 2 playoff spots with:

Edmonton
Minnesota
LA Kings
Phoenix (better this yr)
Colorado

I voted they will miss again...likely 9th or 10th.

I think the Canucks will be much better this year. In fact, I think they will win the Northwest Division. With solid goaltending, and the more balanced lineup, I look to see them win a very tough division. I think the only other team to really improve in the division is Minnesota. Of course, I could be wrong and end up watching the playoffs on TV again this year!
