Will all this "unrest" in America help or hinder re-election of Trump?

The thing about civil unrest and curfews: The police have the legal right to order a crowd away (or disburse), when they don't listen, they have the right to use levels of force to ensure compliance with the order/law. Most cities have bylaws which demand a license(or permission from the city) for public display/parade/protest, if not then the public display could be thought as illegal gathering....
Levels of force can only be 1 level up from what is being used against police. Police can use water cannon/tear gas etc if people are throwing bricks/using threatening language. This is usually enough. If some crowd member brings a knife, machete, or gun to a protest, and it looks like they are going to use it; police can use deadly force.

In most protests there are always agitators who try to incite the crowd to more violence (for whatever reason). There are always trouble makers who will loot, and do criminal things using the advantage of the crowd for cover.

The problem with the police is that they are ill trained to deal with crowd control. Discipline is a key factor. Attitude is a factor. Unfortunately giving a badge to some policemen in the states is the equivalent of giving them a license to commit crimes and get away with it. The police that think they are above the law get away with it due to the "silence of conspiracy". They don't get outed because they are a fellow police officer. The police have to change the way they think.

I'm pretty sure a few years ago the Vancouver police had a bad incident at the Vancouver Airport. They tasered a man and he ended up dead. You would think that police would be educated on the well being/care of anyone taking into custody, by a police officer. In Canada the police officer has to administer first aid of anyone taken into their custody. If they fire tear gas at someone, they have to treat the symptom if that person is in custody. ie remove to clean air, tell them not to wipe their eyes etc, only makes it worse and spreads....let the tear gas evaporate, don't rub skin etc.

Not sure what is the law in the states, but it should be similar, the police are responsible for the person under arrest/in custody.

PS when I was in high school in the 80s there was this young male actor who died because he was fucking around with a handgun with blanks in it. He shot himself in the temple, from a few inches away and dies due to the excess force of the blank bullet at close range. I have been seeing some police pointing bean guns and guns with plastic bullets pointing at the face of protesters from less than 2 feet away. I believe they are trained to hit the center of mass (of the body) not the face. Those policemen are in the wrong. Yes the police need more training and more discipline on how to do their jobs in a crowd control situation.

I'm certain he does. I have been certain of it since 2016.

He basically just reacts, and does no longer seem to have the ability to think out a strategy. Behaves more like a rattlesnake and much less like a chess player.

JD
He certainly has had at times in his interviews where he sniffs a lot.
Conspiracy theories abound of course but it sure makes sense.
He's an adderall addict.

Some side effects are paranoia, over reacts and can't put together coherent sentences.
Ever so often, again, he puts these rambling sentences together where he can't shut
the fuck up. That's when he's dosed up. The other times he's coming down from the drug.
Speaking coherant sentences is a chore. almost impossible.
All the trade marks of adderall addiction or usage.

I would love to see trump playing chess!! Somebody on here said somewhere that trump playing
chess would amount to a pidgeon on the chess board. LOL!!

Strutting all over the board, kicking pieces off at will and shitting all over it at the same time
while pushing out his chest. LMFAO!!!!!!!!

did we get off topic??? ;)

With all due respect of everyones opinions, Trump is God's annointed one. He has been placed on earth for one singular purpose. The unrest is part of his plan and he will be reelected. Trump - Copy.jpg

As for Tear gas, in Ms Hunter's article there is a link.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5096012/#nyas13141-bib-0035
Good read on Tear gas and other things like pepper spray.
When protesting, you could encounter Tear Gas at some point in time (see use of force below). If you have Covid-19 you shouldn't be there, but at home isolating.

Also police forces usually follow a "use of force" policy. https://nij.ojp.gov/topics/articles/overview-police-use-force
Tear gas would be in the non-lethal part or the 3rd step. The police have very specific instruction on use of force and when to use tear gas. Time and time again I see news reports, and or edited video, that comes out only for sensationalism, or agencies only putting out their point of view.

So if you were Tear Gased, you didn't fucken listen, and most likely breaking the law. So you end up with tears in the eyes, choking, coughing, with burning sensation on exposed skin.... And now you are looking for someone to blame..... Mirrors are great things.....

So was Satan, but he was a fallen angel who did not claim on national
TV to be the chosen one. He knew better than to announce it. lol!!

At this point I'm wondering if the party has enough time before the election to dump him and move on to another candidate. I can't be the only one thinking this would be the best choice.

Civil war not an election. BunkerBitch's voters won't accept anything but another 4 years, just like Obama. 'It's only fair' will be what they whine. We saw how well armed they are when they took that state legislature.

I have thought the same. But for this to happen, more than a few top Republicans will have to have the courage to say that "The Emperor wears no clothes". Of course, there is nothing like impending doom to bring on false courage. If their own seat in government is threatened by how unpopular Trump becomes, we may yet see a last minute attempt to unseat Trump.

The majority of the GOP already know the emperor has no clothes but also realize their party is too splintered to hold onto the presidency without Trump. Giving Trump the boot will not happen and he will be reelected. Last Sunday Morning I watched one of those Christian Preacher shows in the USA and I could not believe what was coming out of their mouths. They reference so many lines from the bible and present what is going on in the US as being predicted in that bible. Is there any wonder why Trump went to that Church and raised the bible up in the air? These Evangelical Christians see Trump as a Messiah.

Without words Trump spoke to his followers and sent them what they want to see. Elected or not elected, the USA will remain a Country divided.

I jest and tease in many posts about the end of the world and don't really believe it is, but I can tell you that I am truly scared about what the world has become.

In my post that you quoted I did not mean to imply that they did not know he did not wear any clothing. Just like you, I'm sure any sane man or woman, and that includes the majority of Republicans, has to know that Trump is a nut case. What I was stating was that they did not have the courage to proclaim it. A huge difference.

Unless there were dozens of insurgent factions within the armed forces, the ”civil war” would be more akin to some lone wolf attacks snubbed out before the 11 o’clock news. Anything organized lasting more than a day would probably end like Waco. Those Branch Davidians were well armed.

I watched the Netflix Waco series. The problem is everywhere, people looking to place their trust, allegiance, life etc to a charismatic individual, or something to give their lives meaning. People take advantage of that.

The series gave both sides of the account, in the end I thought the man in charge went with the known playbook and screwed up badly. He did not listen to the negotiator or the agent that went inside and talked with the Branch Davidians. The result was the tear gas caught on fire which caused the building to catch fire...

They might of had fully automatic rifles, but they were not well armed, no 50 cal. no heavy assualt weapons etc.

The unrest in America is boiling over from racism, and what I would call the inequality of people (between the haves and have nots). The unrest has been instigated by some criminals to go do some looting, under cover of the protests. The elected and police are saying "look they are looting". The protestors ony see "the police" reacting to crowds and to the criminals looting...Calmer heads have prevailed.

The thing about violence is that you can walk away at any time. Before closing that fist and smashing something, you alone can control your anger and hurt and prevent it from turning to violence against another human (black or white).
