286.4 Everyone who knowingly advertises an offer to provide sexual services for consideration is guilty of

a) an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than 5 years; or
b)an offense punishable on summary conviction and liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than 18 months.

IMO a slap on the wrist is a fine.

Many perb ladies have already modified their ads. But I don't think Erslist is aware of these laws, or they just don't care.

I'm no lawyer, but the entire bill needs to be read completely in order to get the full context:


286.5 (1) No person shall be prosecuted for

(a) an offence under section 286.2 if the benefit is derived from the provision of their own sexual services; or

(b) an offence under section 286.4 in relation to the advertisement of their own sexual services.

(2) No person shall be prosecuted for aiding, abetting, conspiring or attempting to commit an offence under any of sections 286.1 to 286.4 or being an accessory after the fact or counselling a person to be a party to such an offence, if the offence relates to the offering or provision of their own sexual services.

Yes you are correct I forgot about that part. But most ladies pay sites for advertising. If the sites we rely on get taken down, how will be advertise?

As long as sites continue to advertise for you its not your problem. If it turns out that the content becomes a problem for them and then you can't advertise yourself without detailing the specific services THEN you ladies might have to field a lot of phone queries which will really drive the OP nuts then.

that said - I did notice that section 286.4 reads:

"286.4 Everyone who knowingly advertises an offer to provide sexual services for consideration is guilty of"

It doesn't look like there would be anything to stop a potential client from making a posting seeking specific services on a private forum does it?

Ooooohhhhh....I just answered my own question above!!! I think I found a solution for you girls!!!!

Section 286.4 states that you cannot knowingly advertise an offer to provide sexual services for consideration...

So what stops a lady from posting in a forum such as perb in the ad section what she loves doing...without attaching a price to the post nor explicitly stating that you are selling these services - but that you just like to do these activities. In order to break the law you must be explicitly stating in the ad that you are selling these services in return for consideration - so don't put any price nor imply you are selling these services. Just that you like to do them.

And then you could post a separate ad in the same forum, or in another forum such as craigslist, that you are selling "consulting services" or "time" or "massage" or whatever...at an hourly rate without stating what services are included.

Your clients aren't stupid and you ladies are creative - we'd figure out how to link things together or you ladies would figure out how to guide your target clients to link them together - which would then at lead to a phone call. Hell...even without posting price at all a guy would likely give you a call at any rate if they're interested.

This way the advertiser won't be breaking any law that prohibits them from posting these ads

A small % of SP's are active here, your almost labelling every perb advertiser now. Funny you should mention that BBFS thread. You did post once to me that any SP over $200 is overpriced, and over your reviews and SP's you visited were at rock bottom prices. And when that BBFS thread started you've all of a sudden seen a bunch of higher end SP's and mentioned they offered you BBFS more than lower end SP'S. I agree makes no difference in low-high$ when it comes to BBFS,(just a trend I noticed in your posts

Glad I have a fan club (of one). I do think many escorts are way overpriced but who I choose to see and what I pay are not necessarily related to what I see other guys doing or not doing. I can only post the experiences I have, review the girls I see and comment on things I have knowledge about. You appear more interested in posting an opinion about other people's experiences - which is your choice but it appears a tad of a fixation from my perspective.
