why some SP don't accept cash or etransfer

Wouldn't hurt to let us know which provider or provide a link to the ad. Off top, I can't think of any logical reason to prefer digital currency over cash unless they want it beforehand as a scam tactic.
If you've seen them before and have a good relationship maybe ask her. If not, I'd suggest looking for a more traditional provider.
Not accepting cash seems odd. Nothing stopping her from using the cash to buy cards herself. Maybe she’s been burned with counterfeit, but it also sounds like organized crime and or money laundering. I know a few SPs who don’t accept eTransfer for tax purposes as well as it having the potential to cause unknown problems down the road.
I always find it a pain to pay in cash because I have to hit the ATM and sometimes I need to break bills down to lover denominations I.E. I only have 100s but going for a 120 quick. I can understand a SP being nervous that a payment may be fake or they don't want a audit trail or have a connection to a customer via email.
I wonder if gift cards could be a solution. Give a regular a card and whenever you want to see her load up the card with the FEE. Cards don't need ID so there is no connection between the card and the SP except for she has it. As long as it is not refundable.

Prepaid Visa cards work great for pooning as you can stay discreet buying them at gas stations. Easily gets buried in gas bills! Especially if you drive a full hog like I do lol!
Not many independent sp’s take credit cards though, only a few spas around town also.
I totally understand why not many would accept credit cards as many assholes out there would report to visa that the charge wasn’t permitted essentially screwing the sp or spa out of money!

When I told her I would not give her the card number beforehand, she still agreed. I am confused.
I had the same answer from a SP and she said it's because she's got robbed 2 weeks ago.
I asked if I would give it to her in her bedroom and she said yes.
Didn't go trough but I'm tempted as I don't see the difference between handing a envelope full of cash or a gift card

Still sounds fishy to me.. who tf wouldnt want cash? That's the major currency for a illegal industry. Unless she is scared of covid19 on the actual Bill's, but I highly doubt it since she is seeing customers.
...yes and gift cards would have covid19 too then, the no cash policy is odd and I can't think of any possible reason or even how a scam can run based on it.

The part about accepting the cards in person is probably just a lie to give you a false sense of security before you buy the cards and then, like westcoastrider suggested, she suddenly tells you she needs the number on the card as a "deposit." There is no logical reason reason for a girl to want this sort of payment over cash or etransfer unless it's part of a scam.
Gift cards for Google Play and other major businesses are a preferred method for all sorts of scammers because they can take money from the victim online without revealing any type of bank info, making it untraceable. The ad looks exactly the same as the SP I mentioned, except the name. Scam indeed!
