Why no e-mail address on websites?

Being from out of town it is absolutly imperitive that a studio or a provider have a website I can visit before I will stop by. This allows me to determine who I want to visit and attend to their studio when they are working. No Website no visit. Now in Edmonton very few if any of the websites include a e-mial address. I like to e-mail a location to inquire about services offered excetra. Why no e-mail address's and does anyone else find this problematic?
Toronto, Vancouver , Vega's all offer this but not Edmonton.

From my POV its probably one of several reasons:
-having an email addy posted means someone has to check it and respond on a regular basis, no suprise that it can get tense between some of the women in the studios and its ripe for problems if one SP is going to be seeing/responding to emails intended for another SP that she may have a problem with
-services are best not to be discussed via email as it leaves a nice trail for LE

Just curious why don't you just phone the studios???

Anytime I have ever phoned the person who answers the phone is of no help what so ever and the common response is come down and speak to the provider.

a lot of MPs don't put up email address because of crawlers grabbing them and spamming the heck out of them... unless you have a really clever site deisgner

Others contract the site out, including content, to webguys and dont' even have computers. Therefore email would be silly, cause it's just the webguy answering them.

Prices etc can't be shared by email or phone etc., however, MSN conversations (private conversations) are fine.

And lastly, marketing wise, it makes more sense to have the client come to the parlour- it's pretty much a given the client will stay after meeting.

Thank god the MPs havent figured out the baiting trick most car dealerships use lol.
