Vaggetarian...FTFY ;)
Vaggetarian, that's funny. LOL.

This topic perked my interest. After much deliberation and reflection, I have concluded that I am not a prostitute.

However, I choose to be a slut quite regularly!

It looks like I used poor grammar because I wasn't implying that the one receiving the money was being brought dishonor.

I should have wrote: What is a person who offers money for an activity that will bring dishonor to themselves?

I am very fortunate in that I have never been at a job that I felt like I had no options. I enjoy my work today too.

Oliver! I guess it depends on how one thinks of the concept of dishonor. You dishonor me at my place, you leave. I didn't have that option at the "jobs" I worked at. I was a wage slave who plugged in, tuned out and gave my pound of flesh for my daily bread.

Now my "job" is: you perform oral sex on me, I get to tell you how to do it so I can orgasm, and you give me cash and gifts. Yes, I am deeply dishonored
:D
You know, I never understood why people find this so-called job demeaning to women. I think that patriarchy knows how powerful the vaggie is, and we're lead to believe that it's wrong to use it to get ahead in life. The outcome would clearly be world domination by women. Clearly ;)

A Whorehound[/QUOTE

Good one! I don't think a whorehound feels dishonor when paying for the activity it likes :)

As in what would you call an escort? Female companion? Sex worker? Courtesan? A comedienne/therapist/friend/confidante/sex goddess, all rolled into one?? I don't know what anyone else declares themselves as, but I would be happy with any of the above. And in certain circles, I do jokingly use the slanderous names for my line of work. But I don't actually consider what I do something that would bring me dishonour. I'm open with a lot of my circle, and all the people I love the most know as well. I stand by the adage "Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind". Regarding work or any other part of my life that feel passionate about.

The one thing people never look at when they throw numbers out there is how long are they able to work? Is this a 40+ year career path?

You wink, but what you say is true. Women hump like bunnies in Matriarchal societies and everyone is happier in general. The things we will plan at the party....world domination through pussy power. Or Vaggie Vengeance...part 1....

wow i dont have time to read the entire thread right now but i can totally relate to a lot of the stories here. My last job put me into a very deep and severe depression and many visits to the doctor to have doctor's notes so I could rest....it was just terrible like going to a hell hole, the worst part was the scam nature of the company, unorganized irresponsible outdated business practices, run by a greedy immigrant who was distributing lethal and expired illegal meds to American customers who were broke and had no health insurance, most of them were seniors, and everyday i would be listening and almost bursting into tears about the sad stories these poor old people went through, some customers even ended up in the hospital and died because of the quality of the medication. Canadian online pharmacies my ass! None of the medication actually came from Canada. So sad, I was just a call centre rep being paid peanuts, but they forced me to fill prescriptions and do consultations, with absolutely no training or certification involved. Absolutely nutts! I wanted to out the owner of the company and the employees on thedirty or something lol, they totally deserve it!!!

Ive also had other little jobs here and there with the absolute worst supervisors, I would get them back by just not showing up and screwing them over by not giving them time to prepare someone else to take my spot :D And they would call and look for me asking me to come back, but I would either write them a nasty email or leave a message telling them how they verbally abused me or took advantage of me for their own benefits. So many sick and greedy fuckers even at the bottom on the ladder, low wages supervisors, they have constant negative energy and are so sour...when I learned this was the nature of the job market, I quit everything and became an SP - best move yet and I will continue to only be self-employed in the future from now on (in other fields like graphic and web design, can't be an SP forever!)

A little bit off topic.
But someone told me a couple of weeks ago, I could be replaced by a machine.

At the time I thought yeah right, but he actually was right.

If you think about it, in the future, the human touch might be one of the most valuable commodities out there.

Im reading a Tom Clancy novel, and its amazing the long reach and effects of drugs and drug trafficking.
A police man in Calgary once made the comment, its not necessary the individual drug user, but if you long at the long road the drug travels and the cartels and war loads and the violence a long the way and a drug user in Calgary is supporting all that.
But just me and a women agree to trade, money for sex and you do it respectfully professionally I fail to see what the big deal is.

interesting concept and evokes a sense of self-acceptance or even pride, but in other jobs a woman doesn't have to rent out her vagina. But it's not meaning that I think working women are not valuable people, but I disagree with the flow of the dialogue that many common people are "prostitutes" working in 9-5 or other jobs in the conventional work force.

I do agree with the concept that one should not waste their time with unworthy pursuits or keep putting their efforts in a job that they hate. Luckily I like my job!

Great thread.

And to add a boring technical detail, I think from a court case in Montreal where a strip club was declared a bawdy house, any sexuallized touching for money is "prostitution" under the law. That means lap dances, a massage with a happy ending, S&M and lots of other good stuff. Other judges may not agree and it was probably a lower court decision.

It's a good thing prostitution is a lawful occupation in Canada.

Absolutely it is. There is a niche out there for EVERYTHING. There is a market for over 40 obese women who have a penchant for scat. I guarantee it.

I've rented my mind, my time, my arms, legs, back, face and smile for jobs. I rented my feet, my poor painful feet, running and standing and dancing for hours a day in stilettos or orthotic shoes they still hurt like a bitch at the end of the day and cursed me for my employment choices. I rented my wrists and hands until they seized up to the point where I would drop things involuntarily and could barely use a mouse. Then I'd take pills and go to work for 10 hours the next day...using my wrists and hands all day long. Never mind the bullshit I swallowed all day long
:)

Vaggie, on the other hand, couldn't be happier. She's met great people, has made some wonderful new friends, her role in my life has taken on tremendous new significance, and she is functioning better than ever. Honestly, she has explored strange new worlds, braved new frontiers, and has gone where most vaginas have never gone before. She is the brave and valiant explorer Vaggie now, a Vaggie that wants to take over the world.

Seriously, my doctor has been well impressed with Vaggie and her health. She used to have stiff neck issues and clitoral shrinkage, but now she has blossomed like a flower....everything is more balanced and functioning better and generally happier in regards to my entire reproductive system as a matter of fact.

SPing has improved my health, my attitude and the way I see life now. I honestly have met the best people doing this...the nicest people outside of Academia I've ever actually met. More than met, gotten to know. I like them more than most I already knew. How is that bad?

Rent out Vaggie? Pffftt... Vaggie takes you down and you pay her for the privilege!

You are hilarious! And I concur with your statement. I think it pisses some men off when we are accepting or unapologetic of our actions as sex workers, and then the moral code/shaming/you sell your vagina talk gets brought out. So what? Using that as a means to make a judgement about someone makes as much sense as any other prejudice (as in it doesn't make sense at all). I'm cool with my life choices. What business is it of anyone else what I do in my bedroom? I guess I do "rent out my vagina", among other things. I am good at what I do, and I have the capacity to make a lot of money doing it. The amount of times I have had a male visitor tell me that they would be an escort in a heartbeat, is uncountable. Guys get to dominate almost every other career choice. Let the girls have this one, FFS.

edit: I think some guys get jealous and then resent the business by belittling it in some form. Not all, and I'm not even saying any of the gents who have replied to this thread. But I have definitely experienced that feeling from forum posts and from some encounters.

Yup, as a man, one of my weaknesses. We're powerless to you women. Your use of giant text is appropriate. Our kryptonite ;)

Vaggies are a cornerstone of any healthy man's well-rounded diet.

Thanks for the response. Difference of opinions regarding the concept though.
