I was thinking about visiting you soon, but with my trouble and driving a car that looks like a cop car I could be 8 to 10 hours late for my appointment.
I'm not that busy but I just don't give a shit about others. I have a inflated opinion about myself and since you are so understanding I thought I would screw you over just because.

We realise you are sane, Cherise, and didn't actually 'wait' that long. But, apparently the offender had the expectations that you would wait around 8-9 hours.
I'm trying to think as to what profession that would be an acceptable or normal time to have someone wait.
Hospital emergency rooms (might become normal with Adolph Harper cutting 36 billion off health care)?
Even the cable/telecom guys give a tighter time-frame than that.

Funny you mention that though ... I have experienced a guy trying to open the door without knocking, but the door is locked and I am on the other side wondering "How does he think he's going to get in?"

Ha Ha, I get that. After all the BS you went through, I respect that you just wanna know, and get some closure.
Judgement is so much easier than understanding. Having said that, I have never been more than 10 mins late in my life. And any 'running late' should bring with it a FIRM COMMITMENT for a solid new time. Guys like this give us gents a bad name. Pre-booking works so well for me, that my dom side also comes out with anyone who abuses the privilege.

it relates to advance bookings in the respect that he should not make an appointment when he cant bepositive he can make it. this is a gentleman i have see on a few occasions so screening is irrelevant. had he not booked in advance ,i would have been free to make a date with one of the gents that i had to turn down and would have been in a deep blissful sleep by the time he was ready to play at 3amI don't see how this issue related to advanced bookings. 99% of my bookings are made 2-4 weeks in advance and I have never had someone pull that crap on me. I think it is more about screening carefully and thoroughly. In fact, I think the only no shows and WOTS I have had have been gents attempting to book last minute.
Still, sorry that happened to you. Not a chance I would have accepted the booking at that point... even though I am super curious too. What a disrespectful jerk!
Don't let it discourage you from advanced bookings, just screen well and send reminder emails two days prior
