Why I chose to be DNR

I may add to this list occasionally but off the top of my head

#1 - The thoughtless and derogatory comments made by other members in reviews
#2 - The requests from members for unsafe services
#3 - The threats made to write bad reviews from men who I choose not to see.

To maintain my DNR status I prefer to remain a member here. The internet has changed over the years and PERB is more of an online community now than ever before. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_community). I also choose to stay in red so I can post as much as I want about me and my services in the lounge without fear of being banned.

Not everybody needs reviews to justify themselves as a person, a woman and a SP.

I do what I love and I take it seriously. For a complete stranger to graphically describe our private encounter on a public board, I am sorry, that does NOT interest me!

How does that saying go... don't kiss and tell.

I hope that gives some of you more "inquisitive" members a little insight.

edit: #4 - Members expecting more services than I offer
#5 - Members who do not read your website then complain about all the things you "didn't" do, when a simple visit to her website would clear things up.

I certainly respect your decision and your right to make it. Honestly, you really don't need to justify it. But, as long as you have, I find some of the rationale somewhat confusing.

I don't remember too many unnecessarily derogatory statements that have stood against paid advertisers in good standing. If the members get out of line, the moderators correct.

If I recall, exerting pressure on a SP via threat of review got a well known member a life time ban recently. It would seem that the moderators are right on top of this one.

To be perfectly honest, your reasoning tends to imply that you do not think particularly highly of the perb members....your cliental.

Just my opinion, no disrespect intended.
That is a grand statement to make RRC. I think that is being presumptuous. Perb is a small percentage of my business. I enjoy interacting with the community, so please, do not say that.

There are a group of guys who think that PERB is a magic word that should make the lady do what they want, when they want, how they want.

You don't have to read the reviews of you. Just like some actors don't read movie reviews of themselves. I'm pretty sure people who aren't from Perb have also requested unsafe services. I'm pretty sure like hotel reviews on Tripadvisors, most people can tell if the reviews are legit or not. If the hotel has 96% positive reviews and just 4% negative most people would book with the hotel.

A lot of retail operations use mystery shoppers to test customer service and knowledge, if they don't then how would they know what is working fine and what needs improvement?

Of course it's totally your choice to be DNR and one should fully respect that.

Thank you, rick.

What did we do before review boards? Not everybody needs reviews to justify themselves as a person, a woman and a SP.
:)

Girl, I don't blame you one bit! I could care less if I'm reviewed as its such a small part of my income. Now if people try to blackmail, threat, post derogatory comments, ask for stupid shit I'll tell them off (like I give a fuck what they think) lol! After all m not one to stay silent

Thank you, Angela.

i agree with the dont kiss and tell.....if i really connect with a date and do a few naughtier things ,because I WANT to , it becomes very awkward to say the least if all who read the review expect the same things. . take rimming just for an example . if im enjoying a bubble bath for two and having a great time ,if i snuck in a lick and nibble it sure as hell doesnt mean i want to go there with just anybody that enters my room. the reviews should not go into explicit detail IMO.

This is very true. Some clients you connect with on a different level.

Honestly, although I am delighted with my reviews, I totally respect any lady's right to ask that gentlemen not review her. For the guys who are hardcore about wanting to review every sp they see, I could understand the reluctance! In my mind that means they're going to be more about the scorecard than the experience and more often than not, the lady will be found wanting. I'm actually giving serious thought about writing a post on evaluation criteria, being something of an expert in the field of qualitative vs. quantitative methodologies and how assessment differs from evaluation LOL . (Want to dispute it? I'll put my three degrees up against ya! :clap2:) And none of the gentlemen who have reviewed me told me they were from perb before they visited. Two of them didn't even tell me they were reviewing me here until I found the reviews! And one of them made me GUESS who he was! LOL

In all seriousness, though, I don't think Vanessa nor any of the ladies of her level of reputation have to justify why they choose not to be reviewed. By the same token, I hope that those gentlemen who choose to write reviews that make a lady flush with pleasure rather than cringe in horror continue to write them about the women they see. I hope the ones who write so they can sling mud or get into a locker room crudity contest go away and play with sharp things in the dark, naked.

Much affection

Funny as 2 of the probably biggest posters on perb forums you and VanessaBC both have such low opinions of perb members.

Maybe you both should take a break and stop posting here.

imo the reason providers don't allow for reviews is because they are afraid of them.

Dress it up anyway you want, rationalize it however you need to; whatever - it's more about how you see yourself and your fear of someone saying something negative about you.

Dearest Chili

Can you explain why you think I have a low opinion of perb member s when I interact and participate here on a daily basis? Because otherwise that makes no sense! Why would I hang here in the lounge if I did not like the people I am interacting with?

And please explain why there is something wrong with ME for NOT wanting to be discussed in a graphic sexual manner on a public review board?

Thx

Vanessa you actually do not have to explain why you chose to DNR to anyone. If it works for you and your business model then obviously its unnecessary to take the time to explain the situation to anyone.I is totally your own business.

FWIW I have seen a number of DNR SP's who do not appreciate reviews because their time is busy enough without taking on a crowd of new clients. Recently I had a wonderful time with an SP and when I offered to do a review here and on TER and she thanked me but asked that I do not do that for her. She replied that she appreciated it because she felt my reviews are tasteful and not too graphic but in the end she thought she would get a flood of emails that she would not be able to respond to in a timely manner. She is also the type of SP who will not post a "menu" and didn't want to get a lot of graphic emails requesting services she was uncomfortable with providing.

I didn't and have repeated with her a number of times so I am happy and apparently so is she

You have to do what you think is best for yourself.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

From a newbie Pooner perspective like I was a number of years back -

I chose to see a very hot looking SP who advertised on Perb. What I did not realize was she had a DNR because she had a string of negative reviews that were pulled prior to my interest in her. I spent a wasted hour with her and apparently, she thought an hour comprised of 35 minutes and lame is a generous description of the service and attitude received that particular day. Now if I had known about the poor Service and even worse attitude, I would never have thrown down my money with that lady.

So its a double edged sword that your regulars will continue seeing you but possibly newcomers will see there is a DNR and suspect that there may be a problem with Service and Atttitude.

Well, my dear, you're sort of my mentor, after all! You've taught me so much and helped me keep my eyes wide open, and you know I value your opinion almost as much as I value your friendship! :thumb: (Plus, I'm hoping you have shoes you're tired of that I can provide a new loving home for when you're ready to retire them....LOL)

I chose not to be reviewed on here for personal reasons (Harassment).. no I don't have low opinions of PERB members, no I am not afraid of reviews - my service is consistent, the reviews I have on here and the reviews on TER are all consistent. A large majority of my repeat clients are from PERB and they respect my wishes not to be reviewed. My safety and security right now are number one. If a member doesn't respect that, than that is his problem, not mine. So don't think that everyone who is DNR is trying to hide something or are afraid of reviews etc..
Everyone has their own reasons on why they don't want to be reviewed.
I have several members who have reviewed me and who have respected my DNR status and seen me that can vouch for me.:)

It is very easy to see why ladies opt for no reviews when you see how some very nice reviews are spoiled by mean spirited men who post in the thread for the obviously sole purpose of demeaning the SP just because she is not their age preference or doesn't offer the kinds of services they would be looking for. Why they are even reading the review of someone they would not be considering seeing is a good question and the answer is usually so they can play the role of a big shot and humiliate the SP with rude comments. That means the SP then has to continually monitor their review and follow up to report the rude uncalled for comments to have them removed and in the interim cannot even link to their good review because of the obnoxious and rude comments in the thread.
