I was in a relationship like this where the last yr was pretty much like that. I still wanted to fuck on the regular, every weekend at least . She had lost interest in sex almost completely, ( except for the odd time she would have too much wine w her girlfriends and come home horny ) .
I can can honestly say now I’d rather have some spark wear off as well. Being a one sided affair is somewhat torturous . As well, even though you may know logically that it isn’t necessarily all about you, we are human , and it can be at times a bit deflating to the ego.
I was a much younger pup and at the time had a very different view about the hobby ( and what it means to love ) . Needless to say , I could only take about a yr of that tops and even that was only because I’d been w that women for a couple of yrs previous . Never again though. Never again.
I think it would sure help.
Of course other shit like not being bat shit crazy helps too.

There is also the fact that sometimes the person is not willing to do what you wish at the bed. Then there is the dilemma you love the person, you are married, already had a conversation about sex with your partner, and haven't changed, you also don't want to have problems finding someone who wants only a nightstand also doesn't want to waste time on dates, don't want divorce, the only option left is provider.

Right, as humans we are not monogamist by nature but we try because of historical issues, certain history books say we must be so, and on and on. As sexual beings though, is being tied to one partner healthy in particular if one is very sexual and the other not? That is why I feel we should consider a marriage as a renewable contract. But hey, if I am in a committed relationship, I would not want some other guy fucking my partner just as she will not want me fucking some other woman. Such a dilemma ... and so we cheat to get what we want/need and we deal with the consequences.
