Why do SPs feel the need to tell us they're students...

Oh just have some fun with it.
Ask them what they are taking.
Then ask them questions about their major.
You get some pretty interesting answers.
I once saw a girl taking not only what I took, But I taught it for a short time.
After talking to her, I am 100% sure she never took a course on it.

perhaps it's a way of justifying the line of work, both to themselves and to their customers. They want guys to know that this isnt their lifelong ambition, which is understandable given the social stigma againest sex workers.

I am not sure why being a student would be considered elitist.
As for relevance, the people who want to spend more than an hour with a girl seek intelligence. And while intelligence and academia do not always go hand in hand, they do correlate. Besides, student could mean anything from full-time grad school to continued education classes, attended by a large variety of ages and backgrounds. The only common thread is desire to learn more and do more with your life.
Women who convey (and deliver) intelligence and ambition while being great in bed tend develop more loyal and enjoyable clientele than those who present themselves as great in bed only. So yes, this message actually is very relevant to being a successful companion.

My experience is that college, university and art school girls are some of the sexiest ladies I've known throughout my life. A personal bias, I suppose, nothing more. Personally I love a smart lady whatever the source of her education. Intelligent conversation from a mouth that also talks dirty is truly a divine gift, IMHO.

On the other hand I've worked around highly educated people all my adult life and some of those who are the best in their fields are sometimes total idiots in other areas of life. I'm amazed how many scientists I interact with who cannot spell or construct a grammatical sentence. Intelligence comes in many forms it seems and does not distribute itself evenly in the population. An SPs educational goals and acheivements are among those things that get my attention when I'm looking to meet up for a good time.

I would much, much rather spend time with a working girl who was motivated by the cost of higher education than spend time with a working girl motivated by the high cost of crack, heroin, speed, or the lifestyle of her pimp/boyfriend.

I've had this happen! Met some dude when I first moved here on a dating website. Listed himself as "athletic", said he liked working out. He shows up and he is FAT. And I don't mean, chubby, I'm not one who needs chiselled abs, but this dude was FAT. It was so stupid, obviously he's not going to find a girl by lying whereas if he just told the truth he'd find a girl who liked bigger guys.
I know an SP who told me she was studying law, then later in the same conversation she was telling me how to hide drugs when getting searched, so I guess it was a form of legal education.
It's pretty easy to tell which ones have an education and which ones don't, but really it doesn't matter to me at all. Everyone's got their own kind of education, and you can't pay for some of the stuff SPs know

I am not sure why. I started seeing my sugar baby over a year ago. and she was quite firm when we started that she was a student. However, in the 14 months that I been seeing her at over $3000 per week, she has never attended a single course. She says that she is saving for school so that she does not have to worry about money when she goes, but I have never seen anything that makes me believe she is really interested in going to school.

Could be all the reasons mentioned previously. But just because they're 30 doesn't mean they can't be a student either. It could be part of the "act", perhaps it turns clients on. Maybe they feel it will get them some sympathy and perhaps tips. Maybe they just want to connect with clients and feel that sharing a part of themselves will help build mutual comfort. The women in this business do this for their own reasons. I say enjoy yourself and stop worrying about all the details and connect with the lady you're with.

For me, I don't fall for the "student" act when I walk in to their high-end condo and then see a closet of nothing but designer clothes. I don't know man, but most students I know are rather frugal with their money and aren't necessarily frivolous by spending $5K on an M.H.L.V. purse. We all like a taste of the high-life every now and then; I'm guilty of it too, but there comes a point where it becomes too 'fake'.
If they're really students, they would have closets full of KD and Dude beer and a home entertainment system made of cinder blocks and 2x4s stolen from a construction site.

I for one, AM a student and part time this semester so I CAN work a bit more so I don't have to get student loans. I love travelling as well so I spend there.
for the OP, how bout men who lie about their occupation? We could say the same thing right?.... Regardless if you lie to hide your identity, or lie for marketing techniques, a lie is still a lie.
