Why do some SPs only use email for bookings but then ask you to call a number later?

For me it is simple, email for weeding/discretion/privacy, phone call for screening.

Emails help weed out clients, and I don’t want to advertise my number because I don’t want calls all night. When a client emails me and I know he is legit, the phone call/text adds to the screening without having to waste a bunch of time talking to men who are not booking or simply asking questions that can be found on my site.

Also, I have a day job, I can’t be answering texts all day, but I can answer emails, usually much faster.

I use text but it's because I'm a workaholic and I like replying to all inquiries immediately. I'm sure if I didn't have my work number on the internet I'd get a lot fewer "hey" texts though. Or repeated calls from a blocked number. Or people calling me at 3am.
