Why do some SP's not include their hourly rate with ads?

Seems like waste of time to me... You have to call and then some of them them get snooty when you tell them they're out of your price range. What is the advantage of not giving out that basic info?

On a similar note are there any SP's that are actually worth more than $ 250-ish an hour? Seems to me that quite a few lose business since they are so over-priced.

Kinda obvious but perhaps some SPs just don't want to do one hour appointments.

Four 30-min appointments at $200 or four 60-min appointments at $300.

You do the math.

Same reason a lot use fake pictures etc. More than half of the "game" for many of them is that it is a game to extract maximum money from minimal effort. Same game many try to convince you of a "one shot" rule if you have paid for an hour and have happened to reached a bullet earlier than typical. You have paid for the hour - period. However, that is just another way to extract maximum money.

As far as worth, that is very subjective. Some guys seemingly feel better about themselves spending more than they need to on many things. They don't realize it is guys like that that set that market in terms of price. Do you think people would charge $350 an hour if no one paid it?

Angela:
Your response of weeding out undesirables makes little sense to me because you'd still speak with the person when booking and so screen them then. Also, if the price, as advertised, is too high that would have a auto-screen effect. I don't bother calling if the price is too high.

Your 2nd point makes even less sense. Are you a business or not? If time is money, how does wasting mine benefit the SP?

Providers can't write proper ads. Clients can't/don't read. Seems like a great way to do business

You're more than welcome to answer yes... And provide a name.
No need to be cruel to deceased horses.

Four 30 minute appointments would be $800. 4 60 minute appointments would be $1200.

I think you meant 8 30 minute appointments (that would be the same time frame and that would be $1600.) So ya do the math. But be right about the math.
Wow, you can do math! But your English comprehension could use some work because no, I did not mean eight 30-min appointments, otherwise I would have said EIGHT or 8. Going by the understanding that MOST SPs probably don't see 8 (as in, eight not 4 or 1600) clients a day of which I agree, wouldn't it make more sense to rake in $800 doing 2 hours of work instead of putting in another 2 hours to net an extra $400?

So yah, do the math but be right about the math.

Why don't take out restaurants like Swiss Chalet put prices in their online menus?
I would guess a few reasons....
1. Nationwide chain with differences in regional prices.
2. Most people don't travel more than 10-15 minutes to a restaurant to spend more than $50 on themselves.
3. You encounter a few people on your visit, hostess, wait staff, bus boy and there is always a manager to complain to.
4. There are typically more menu items and you can always take a smaller/ cheaper item, typically there is something there everyone will like; with sp's some people need a minimum amount of time.
5. What does the price of an SP have to do with Swiss Chalet in the first place... talk about comparing taco's to chickens.

Seems funny to me that I have yet to have a yes on the worth it question, with a name included...

It has always been a bit intriguing (and in some cases a bit frustrating) to me not to see details listed in the ads.

Three or four lines praising your beauty, body and face is good, but I would like to know the services offered, clearly.

On the flip side, there are Poon Nazis :

I want to read and ad not an essay or an instruction manual. There are at least three SP's who basically make an ad that looks like an IKEA manual.

I don't know about you guys, but when I read sentences like "read my ad carefully, specially section 3 (1), subsection a(1), in conjunction with details included in chapter 2 a and 3 c........ I just roll my eyes and move on to the next one.

There is no need for an SP to act like soup Nazi. We men go thru dozens of ads. So if by mistake we miss a subclause of your detailed pre-phone call manual, please don't freak out. Seriously, there is an SP who sounds like a poon Nazi( a la soup Nazi).

Ideal ad would be:

Photos (Real and latest possible ones, pleaaasseee)
Four or five lines about herself.
Services provided should listed CLEARLY. (followed by rates for each service)
More clearly the services NOT provided.
Phone number
URL of a review, if there is one.

Frankly, I would rather read a brief to the point ad with clear pictures and rates rather than trying to scroll up and down like it was a test of my comprehension skills.

That's just my opinion anyways.

This is a review board with hundreds, maybe thousands of reviews. If you are too lazy to look for yourself by clucking your mouse a few times
I'm not spoonfeeding you.

In Your Wildest Dreams!
There is a reason that I don't put an hourly rate in my ERSlist Ad; I charge less for the second hour, so if you stay longer, your rate goes down. As an example only, while the first hour you spend with me is $200, the second (and third) hour is $140, (and every hour after that is $120). There is no way to put that into a form.

I think most sp do not added rates to their ad due to the fact guys will still ask them their rates etc...

hmmm.. I can only speak for myself, I never ask the rate. I only call an SP after I know she is within my 'two days's wages' range. :)

You know what, that gives me another idea of a new thread... I will share it later.
