Why do some clients insist on being the first client of the day?

I have seen this topic on twitter/X and it was mainly discussed by SWers, and what may be assumed for this request but I’m curious what your reasons for this request is, as I’m going to guess various people have various reasons to request being the first client of the day for a provider.

I like to go early cause the longer the day gets the more polluted your thoughts may become, thus ruining the mood. Unless you are the kind of person who does not absorb negative energy and can let it bounce off you, which I really envy.

Unless you're a bit of a slob, you can have as many "firsts of the day" as you want. If you work til 1 a.m. there's no no reason you can't have a 1 p.m. "first of the day".

That does make sense as some may get tired later on, but I’m also wondering specifically for those wanting to be the very first client of the day even if there would be other early availability.

Personally I look forward to the last client I have because I can have more energy knowing it’s my last client & where it’s more easy going too, not having someone coming in afterwards.

I’ve also always been the kind of person that once a session is over, it’s no longer lingering. Negative energy of any kind just rolls off me. I don’t take it on. I’m careful to not work if I’m in a weird head space. When my kitty died, I took a few days off and then only saw a few regs that I could be sad with.

If I am in a hurry, I would want to be the first appointment of the day because that will leave me time to do my own works. Besides, there is always the thought of sloppy second. lol. But when I am not short on time, then I would like to be the last appointment for the exact same reason you stated.
