Im asking this cause for yrs now people still thinking im 18-22. I know some of the asian sp like Angelina age way slower than the white ones. Could it be our diet which makes us age slower?

kidding, of course, well sorta.....i have no idea what it is but i love it for the asian girls.
i know a tonne that drink and smoke a lot.It's genetic payback... in return for making us smaller, we get to live longer
(however, maybe it's clean living too... how many Asians do you know who drink a lot or smoke a lot?)
i do believe though that the darker skin means less ware and tear from the sun as well as diet and physical stature in usually being shorter.
not to mention that when you do get grey hair, all you have to do is dye it black and no ones the wiser. white folks can dye their hair as well but sometimes you can tell.

You know, I've often wondered this myself. It's strange though, because it almost seems like once an asian reaches a certain age, all of the years during which he/she didn't seem to age as quickly suddenly catch up to him/her, and all of a sudden he/she looks just as old as, if not older than, a white person of the same age. I simply can't explain it.
I suspect it's got something to do with their skin tone. I think having darker pigment allows for them to age more gracefully. But this is merely a guess on my part.

I believe it's all relative to lifestyle, upbringing, genes...I'm older and most people think I'm in my mid-late 20's when I'm actually past 39. And I'm of Northen European descent. So that debunks that racist theory from LAG.
I think some of it has to do with where you grow up.
My buddy's mom, a chinese lady of around 60, could easily pass for 90.
She just came here about 5 years ago, her whole life was doing outdoor work in China.

I think it has more to do with fat distribution
Most asiains have rounder faces, which we associate with youthfulness (aka the baby face).
As people age, their fat redistrubutes, and most people start to lose the fat from thier face, which allows for things like wrinkling and saggy skin to be more apparent.
Most people of Asian origin maintain a rounder face for a longer period of time than the average white person. This gives the perception of being younger for longer.

I agree sun exposure and smoking increases aging. Things to do with free radicals damaging the cells.
Also there is a trend in that Western girls are developing sooner, even Asian ones.
