You mean we're in this for greed Storm? Thanks for clearing that up.

Silly me, I'm, just greedy! And here I thought it was my job!

Help me clear this up, is everyone who has a high paying job greedy???

Or is it everyone who has a better paying job than you that's greedy?

Or is it just a way of insulting those you have to pay to be with?

Just curious.

Reminds me of the way I spent last summer. Developed two dark marks on the right side of my lower lip, which in time began to grow larger.

Did not let this stop me, but let me add, I do not usually DATY or kiss, so no SP's turned me away. Maybe it was the money.

I continued my usual summer routine, biking and lots of sun. Had a dentist appointment in October and he immediatley sent me to an ENT specialist. Two weeks later, after biopsy confirmed skin cancer, I had a surgery called: (are you ready for this?) a lip scrape, exactly what it sounds like. Not the most pleasant experience, maybe not as bad as it seems, but walked out of the "day surgery" with 24 stitches in my lip. Since then tests have all come back negative. Only down side, I will most likely begin to use sun screen and drink lots of green tea.

But, the good news for the SP's would have been that cancer is not contagious. But, for you ladies, it is most prudent that you check out anyone you allow to get too close to you. In the 15-20 Sp's I saw over those 4-5 months, not one of them asked me about it. Mostly Asian ladies, maybe they were just being polite, but it is still their bodies they must protect. But, since I was concerned for them I never did anything with them that let them come in contact with my lips. Maybe the next guy will not be as nice a guy as I am.

Let's be careful out there. (Anybody remember that line?)

You pretty much answered this yourself.

Help me clear this up, is everyone who has a high paying job greedy???
Cute. How little or how much people make never has been an issue with me. I got rich friends and I got poor ones. Only commonality between them is they're all good people regardless of their income.

Or is it everyone who has a better paying job than you that's greedy?
I guess you must assume every guy that enters this 'hobby' is some PL who has to pay for it? Ain't that the kettle calling the pot black? ;)

Or is it just a way of insulting those you have to pay to be with?

I'm in it cuz I'm very good at it and that makes it enjoyable for me. It is made more appealing/justifiable by the high wage, but if I hated it, no money would be enough.

The rest of your logic was flawed and made no sense btw.

Let me clarify... why, if a STW sees someone with a blemish, is she greedy?

Yet a Doctor who spends his life seeing patients who don't even bathe first isn't greedy?

Is a nurse at a sperm donor greedy, there only for the money?

Why do lab technicians do blood tests, when they can potentially come in contact with HIV infected blood? Is it because they're greedy?

The only commonalities are the high paying wage, and the risk factor.

So should all of the above professions deny certain services to those who pose a risk, or else be labeled greedy?

*Newsflash* We're all greedy when it comes to increasing our net worth, period. Labeling someone greedy doesn't change anything, except to put a negative spin on it. You admitted it was negative when you said

many on perb crucify someone when they say something negative about SPs.
My only point was that you said it to be slanderous, not to explain anything.

The reason, logically, that the SP in question didn't show someone the door, when spying a potential cold sore, is because she engaged in no activities that put her at risk.

Simple, reasonable and not negative.

I was told that wearing gloves is almost mandatory now, especially for fisting or fingering, and that latex gloves gives the lady added lubication "down there"

Sins

Well guys, once again you have shown you wear blinders.

The 7 deadly sins are everywhere.

Greed and Lust are just two... There is no right or wrong when you are both committing sin! :p

So guys, transmogrify yourselves into gentlemen, or at the very least humans.

Massagegirl I beg to differ.

Interesting you put all those high skilled and education jobs in the same boat as service providing. All those professions take YEARS of schooling and dedication among other thing such as long hours, over-time, tests, getting a certificate, etc, etc. Do you see a distinction between them?

Of course you're going to say you like what you do. It's good business! No client is going to see a SP who clearly hates what she does. Unless he's some sick bastard who gets off on hurting others.

Honestly I do not care what you do for a living. If it's what you love to do, great! Just don't paint it something it's not.

Anyways... You put out your point I put out mine. We don't agree ok? Like you said life's a bitch. Let's move on or take it to pms. :p

Equality for sex trade workers!

Sure, but none that matter when it comes to seeing high-risk clients and catching an STD. Doctors wear latex gloves which aren't 100% effective for example. (Keep in mind these are only examples, to dispute little bits about an example will just keep you from the issue.) My point is none of them can discriminate, why should SP's?

Actually I do love what I do, if you need references, check my reviews. Not that it has anything to do with whether an SP was wrong or "greedy" to give limited service to someone suffering a cold sore. (Which is the issue, remember?)

I agree, but why do we have to paint it in the first place? What does it accomplish? Life can be shaded a million shades of grey, and even discrimination isn't black or white. I am all for equality and fairness and I understand not everyone feels that way. But some want to separate us into a special category where the same rules don't apply to everyone, which is why I am arguing this. Women fought for equal rights, now it's the sex trades turn. We in the service trade have been just as instrumental in society as anyone else, and are the oldest profession after all. If you want to vilify it, it is your business and you are free to your opinion, I just feel bad that it's such a negative one. Not my problem to be sure, but if you're not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.

I will when you admit that it was a negative groundless comment. :D And I wouldn't dream of depriving anyone of our interesting debate. :p

PS Alexis, I'm on it! However, I can lead a horse to water but I can't make him drink! :( ;)

I don't. I was a health care professional for five years. I did the schooling, long hours, over time, on call, practicum, licensing, board exams, etc. The only difference between then and now is I am mucking into 3 or 5 different people's bodily fluids in a week versus the 30 or 50 I used to.

Now I work 5 hours a week on average, for the same amount of money. That leaves me a minimum of 35 hours to do pet care, garden, volunteer work, go for lunch with friends, paint the spare room...whatever. Whats not to love about that? The recreational f*cking is a bonus. Storm, we are not all man hating, money grabbing, one step away from flipping burgers at McD's airheads, deal with it.

Actually you're the one missing the issue. Remember? The one where you chimed in? My point was and I made it pretty damn clear: Women do this for money. How many SPs would continue to provide if they won say? 1 million? 5 million? 10 million? If you're gonna tell me you would I got raise the BS flag on you. I could bring up why don't you do this for free? I do things for free all the time. Like waking up 6am in the cold pooring rain to a film shoot. Doing 16+ hour day for free. I do this because I like the work. Would you do a 16+ hour free session? Didn't think so.

After reading your last post I get what you're trying to say. Did not know you were taking this as your crusade, but now your previous posts make sense.

Why would I admit to anything when you put it like this? You may think this is witty and cute, but really it's just pretty damn condescending.

The issue with you is the word: Greed. What draws someone to this line of profession? Sharing their body with men they know little to nothing about? Desensitizing their heart? Well we both know the call of wealth is a mighty one! Perhaps all your sessions are wonderful ones with great hunky gentlemen. Lucky you! But for the majority please tell us why do many SPs have to prepare mentally before a client if experience is so sensational?

I know women do this for money, the same as every person in every profession, because money buys things human beings want and need. So in effect we are all working for the things we need/want, even you. If it's your hobby then it falls under free time and not working. Nobody works for free, if you are doing something free that will help you in the future (like a film shoot) then it's not free. So what if it IS for the money, does that make it greed? No, it makes it smart and practical. Besides, how do you know we don't do the ones we like for free?

My only point is that just because someone expects to be paid when they put in a days work, it doesn't make it greed.

Websters dictionary

Main Entry: greed
Pronunciation: 'grEd
Function: noun
: excessive or reprehensible acquisitiveness : AVARICE

Main Entry: av·a·rice
Pronunciation: 'a-v&-r&s, 'av-r&s
Function: noun
: excessive or insatiable desire for wealth

STW's are reprehensible, excessive or have an insatiable desire for wealth? Or do you see where I'm coming from now? I think you might have been speaking generally when you used that term. If you had said "It's simple, they have bills to pay" or "maybe she had rent due?" or "she offered only the services that didn't put her at risk" or a million other possibilities, I wouldn't be arguing, but I took offense to the word Greed. So did Alexis and Dakota Wood, so maybe I am right on this? (Also Hardup called it crass and Gina Lee doubted greed had anything to do with it.) So where are the supporters to your argument?

I think if you knew the truth about sex trade workers and their motives Storm, you would be very surprised. There are definately some that would do it for free because they do love it that much. However, whether they love it or not, is really besides the point. If the point was "is any job totally perfect?" then I can tell you right now, without a consensus, that the answer is always no.

PS I was being very sarcastic because you were insulting everyone in my profession! I'm sure if I said all
<-insert your occupation here-> were greedy, you would take issue to it as well.

Afterward, she tells me he had a small but not healed coldsore in the corner of his mouth and a rash spreading over his upper legs & groin, needless to say she did NOT kiss him or allow him to perform daty, and was very careful to not touch his skin during the cbj (no fs) and showered immediately after. My question is why did he come in in that kind of physical state? Makes no sense to me, a waste of coin, considering what he wanted, with a mouth sore of any kind, no one would have given him?

Why did she not tell him to leave rather than complete the service if his physical condition was suspect?
That last question remains unanswered --- by BlueBells: Perhaps the thread question posed could also be titled “Why do SPs do this?” - was the lady following policy? – did she have the latitude to make an individual decision to turn the customer away? Why didn’t she deny service – why did she continue - why did she do this?
