Yes she was abused, as she is not at an age in which she can adequately understand the ramifications of her actions. Same logic as to why children in this country cannot be charged for a crime when under 13.
It's my understanding that a child can be criminally charged in this country at the age of 12.

I didn't mention anything in the above post about anything other than it was my understanding that a 12 year old could be charged. I think your list is pretty good as well..my take on it would be.
Mental issues.( i think most people have them,somemore serious than others )
Money (easy money,kind of like crime ..the pay is good)
Drugs ( to cover up the deeper issues they may encounter over prolonged peroids in the trade and life.After all one can only hide from ones self for so long.)
They like sex (this one is the rarest i think, ive only encountered one nympho.)
Truthfully though i think the mental issues over ride it all, for whatever reason and there are many ,people just cant seems to deal or cope with what they have encountered in their lives.
