We have such a free society free and open. I don't think it is beyond reason to remove people to or stop people that don't believe in the same things, freedoms of religion and political beliefs, even sexual orientation etc,

Even transgendered people I don't understand it don't really agree with the operation.
But people do have the right to be stupid, Just my opinion.

If they are Canadian citizens, my understanding is that it would be extraordinary under international law to refuse them entry back into their country of citizenship.
Maybe someone can enlighten us further, but are there any countries that can refuse to allow their citizens to live there?

I don't agree with ISIS at all, but, labelling a group as terrorist is as much a political act as anything else. Who gets to decide a group are terrorists or freedom fighters? Was Israel formed as a result of terrorist or freedom fighting actions. It depends on which side you are on.

If they are on our soil, its easier to follow and track them. Blocking their entry at a border crossing makes it someone else's problem i.e. the USA or whatever airport they are departing from overseas.

Sorry but have to agree with original poster as far as ISIS fighters returning to Canada. Don't really understand why transgender being picked on, don't recall them being supporters of beheadings and slaughtering innocent people lol. Anyone who went to fight with ISIS should be banned for life. Do you think for a minute every last person on this board wouldnt be the first ones killed by these guys? Starting with the women first of course. These people are not freedom fighters they are psycopaths no different than Clifford Olsen or Bernardo. They would kill every last Canadian if they could without a doubt. People that support their ideology are against everything this country stands for. It is an insult to any and every Canadian that died for this country and everyone else who has ever stood up for human rights in Canada to let them return ever. You go to fight against everything this country and its people have built then you should never be allowed to return.

Good point. I think the RCMP have actually shown that they are pretty good at tracking these kinds of individuals.

Tracking them is one thing. Stopping them from committing a crime is an other.

No links yet but someone tried to run over two Forces members in a parking lot, fled and was shot after rolling his car.
