Ghetto Child, if you don't like somebody's review of a provider, then move on. Don't try and save the world from the critiques of the unwashed. I prefer to know before going in what to expect when I get there. I want to know the poster's opinion, good, bad or indifferent. That allows me to make an intelligent consumer's choice, and at the same time, this process weeds out the pretenders that are out there (and, they are out there, believe me), or provides them with feedback to improve their service. Yes, it should be done with a measure of respect, but your definition of respect, might not match his. And what can be done about that?
We know in short order whether a reviewer is genuine or not. We also can tell a shill from a distance. We don't need you to spoon feed us. We are thinking human beings, with tools like memories that allow us to discriminate a good review from a bad. Even a positive review can be bad, with the benefit of any knowledge gained here. Under the old system (no review board), we were just playing Russian Roulette, and too many times, ended up paying for something that was either bad, or was not like it was purported to be. It still happens, but a lot less, and this board is a credit to this ability.
If you don't like what you read here, then you should avoid coming here, and making life miserable for yourself (and others, btw). You're not going to change the attitudes in here, so don't waste your efforts trying to make this world a better place. I have very little patience for Utopians, and their idealistic view of the way things should be. That amounts to thought control, and we don't need to be reminded of the failure rate of this process on this planet.
Your post amounts to a reprimand. Do you really think then, that your concerns will change the habits of posters you are targeting? If so, then you are more naive than your post suggests. If not, then you are working way too hard hard to be the laughing stock of Perb.
