Who Won The Debate?

If our political system didn't make it a wasted vote - Green would be the best choice. Despite her drunken meltdown a few months ago, May seems the most informed and intelligent of the lot of them.
There a few ridings where the Greens have a real chance of winning. Should be supported where viable and the vote to the Greens won't result in a Con winning. They provide an important alternative voice in Parliament, and may end up being an important coalition partner.

With you on that one, badger!
I actually hope it is a coalition government. I think when two groups are required to cooperate there is more accountability and transparency. Any single party that get's to power and is able to hold onto that power for more than one term, becomes arrogant and rules like a dictator.

Regrettably, Mr. Trudeau has ruled out a coalition with the NDP. I think that's another one of his bad, rookie mistakes. I believe that takes the formation of a coalition after the election off the table.

If Mr. Harper were to get the most seats, but a minority, and the Liberals and NDP then tried to form a coalition, Harper would be completely justified in claiming that voters were mis-led. In that situation, I don't think that the Governor General would ask such a coalition to form a government. The GG would have little choice but to opt for a new election.

A coalition between two(or more) parties is the only way a government can be formed. Trudeau says this now, but after the election results and he finds his party is #3 on the depth chart, he and the Liberals will change their tune.

I didn't see all the debate but from what I saw, Trudeau and Mulcair were tag teaming Harper pretty good. Harper just sounded like a delusional idiot, giving his version of how "prosperous" Canada is. Let's hope whomever gets in decides to diversify the economy instead of relying entirely on oil. that is the #1 reason we are in recession and our dollar is turning into a peso.
