I think Cory all the way.

Hopefully, Luongo will get the message to leave town and go back to Florida with the rest of his 44 yr long contract...

Does it matter ? Problem would seem to be out in front of the goal.

It does matter...IMO...whoever they play is considered the better goalie and the future #1 in Vancouver.

Doesn't matter, they are toast and this summer they need a complete overhaul.

Considering the question was in regards to game 4. not next season, I'll stick by what I said. Lou 8 against, Cory 1 against, ya I know there was an empty net in there, but the point is that the crowd in front of the net was the same. If they can't score against LA, then it doesn't matter who's in goal, 1 or 10 goals against, they still go golfing. From what I've watched Cory seems to work harder in the net, but I didn't watch any games during the regular season and only watched one complete game so far during the playoffs.

Totally. Their defencemen have all been pretty horrible and surprise surprise, their top scorers have all forgotten to clutch up.

If it were me, I'd lean towards Schneider because I think Luongo doesn't match up great against the Kings. Either way, the Canucks will get a 2 game reprieve at most before they are out on the golf course which is good because Sami really needs to work on his slice :p

i think AV , knows they are toast , so politically he will go with the big paycheck and Lou will start....
The Aqualinis want to see a fellow Italian in, if he is not then AV is fukked , if Lou loses it AV is fukked again , but he has to play the Lou card....!!!
think about it..... its obvious......... i like Schinder , but he wont start.

The Schnied should start.
But in Canuck land that means they will start the human snow angel.
Bigger problem is who's going to score. the goalies have been pretty good, it's the inability of the players to score that's the problem.

I,m amazed that Schieder played......
I am one of the Lou haters so am very happy....
I think that makes a huge statement of how the organization feels now...
Lou's wife hates even visiting vancouver and refuses to live here , so if Tampa made ANY indication they want him , he would be gone in a flash.

I don't hate anyone. I think Lou plays to the best of his ability. He works hard at his craft. But, he has never been the same after that groin injury a few years ago. Schneider is just a better goaltender, more agile, upright, athletic and definitely calmer. He covers the bottom of the net better, and gets up a lot faster. (Cautionary note: it's only been 2 games.)

Loungo's contract is big, but his cap hit is low for someone of his stature. I suspect there will be someone willing to take him, if he agrees to go (no trade clause).

Gotta wonder about the braintrust though. The second short-handed goal LA scored was weak on Lou's part (IMO). An upright goalie might have stopped it. The first goal that LA scored in game 1 (granted it was a 5-on-3) came from a terrible angle, definitely stoppable.

All the numbers for Schneider were better to start the playoffs. They should have started the goalie who gave them the best chance to win in the beginning of the series.

lou has never accepted the fact that goals get scored in hockey - so deep down he faces the shooter with fear

schneider knows that goals get scored in hockey and he doesn't have a problem with it - so he challenges the shooter to beat him

any bets on how that penalty shot last night would have turned out with lou in goal?

I have to agree. Schneider made a ton of saves that looked pretty easy but they are easy if you are in good position and challenge the shooter.

If Schneider has a bad night, Louongo is going back in. The team has options this year, they are taking advantage of it.
I don't think this is a big deal. Yet.
