Who remembers Laiya?

If you knew her I am sure you will never forget her. I made the mistake of "Not getting around to meeting her". Probably will always regret that decision.

But the reason for my posing this question is that over the last several months I have noticed that more and more of the threads in The Lounge are either started by ladies (in red or not) or contain many, many comments by the ladies. All members are free to post as much as they wish. I will not go so far as to suggest that it is dominated by ladies because the future will tell if that is correct or not.

I just spent a bit of time looking for posts by Laiya. After a bit of effort I found my answer. For those who do not know/remember her, she was a long-time member and a paying sponser.

The results are in: This dear lady had a grand total of eleven (11) posts in her whole PERB career. Not a lot for sure, in fact very few when I examined each post and found that about half of them revealed the kind of person she really was.

And, of course the day she dropped the bombshell: Announcing her retirement and thanking everybody for being so kind and generous.

There was probably a few more I do not recall, but you get the jist, I hope.

She seems to have truly cared about her clients, and her success was a reflection of that.

So, I guess my question is, did she have so few posts because she did not need to draw attention to herself (Likely because was she THAT busy), or was she just that kind of person?

I will be the first to comment. Since, I often am the first and since you have asked me before about my amount of posts.

I joined PERB a year ago. After being out of the industry for so long I was happy to find a place where like minded souls could get together and chat. Now I do not read the reviews much anymore but participating in the lounge has become something of a daily ritual for me.

I can always count on people here for a good laugh, or the chance to watch a good debate. This is a forum. Like so many other forums.

What does that mean? "that kind of person". I like to think of the board as a social place where we get together and chat. Are you saying she was not social? Or maybe she does not enjoy the internet like many of us do. Can you please clarify?

I find now, when I meet someone, it is best to ask "are you an internet person or a TV person" because then that gives you an idea of what you can talk about. I do not talk about computer stuff with my friends who are not Netizens, like me.

So that is why I like PERB, I can be around a pro-sex community and chat freely. I do pay for membership here...which allows for several perks like advertising and more message space.

Laiya is an amazing lady.....and yes, she was as busy as she wanted to be! (I imagine every lady is as busy as they want to be, or they would do something different ;-)

She provided exceptional service, was gorgeous, and had exceptional rates (at least they were exceptional by the time she retired). I don't believe she ever changed her considerations during her entire career as a courtesan.

As for not posting....she begun in the industry before the internet was a means of connecting companions and suitors. I imagine her client base was already big enough that she didn't need to post on forums when advertising shifted to more of an online base.

The interesting thing about that is she is the first independent companion I ever recall having a website in the Vancouver area.

She was a wonderful business woman, and is an exceptional human being. In terms of business, she recognized that the best suitors are the ones you build a rapport with, and who continue to visit regularly.

She did have a good reputation and a lot of good reviews. Unfortunately I did not have a chance to meet her. I am sure she would have drummed up a lot more business if she posted online more. But farewell to a fine SP and wish her prosperity in her retirement.

Hey SFMike,

I saw her twice and both times she was great. Loved to fuck, full of positive energy and knew how to make a guy feel like he mattered to her. Best memory was her legs wrapped around her hips, my dick deep inside her tight kooch walking from the bed to the shower. Perfect little body too.

Lots of good ones out there but she had something special and I'm sure many get addicted to her.

As for the posts by sp's I agree there seems to be more 'chatting' these days but everybody has a right to post so no biggy.

I've been posting pretty regularly since 2010 and, when I decided to leave the Brentwood area and move to English Bay, I just decided to go to red, so that I'd have more freedom in my posting comments. Honestly, I don't always post. My interests are relationship based, so those are the threads I'm most interested in. I'm very happy with my move, and I'm busy enough for my liking. I've never posted in the lounge to get clients, but rather to discuss my favorite topics. Most of my clients come from my ERSList advertising, and always have (since we lost Craigslist)...

She had an amazing apartment complete with bar, lounge, fireplace and a room set up like a strip bar complete with brass rails and lights. I have nothing but good feelings for her and hope she is doing well.

Much like samgomez's comment above along with some very hateful and racist comments. Laiya had a pretty thick skin, but those comments were well beyond any acceptable limits. After that, her participation on this board really dropped off.


I did get a chance to see Laiya. That session ranks among the top of my SP experiences and I was really disappointed to hear of her retirement while I was living in Ottawa. So if there is someone you really want to see, or repeat with, do it sooner than later, because you never know when they will leave.

Laiya DID move to San Francisco but that was sometime ago. The ad everyone refers to is an old achieved ad. I still have occasional contact with her and I can say this much ....she is no longer in the business. The old board "dust up" some posters are referring to, involved board members using extremely racist terms to describe her. She was and still is a very special person.
