I spoke with Jade again last night. Because she has no transportation of her own and has to kow tow to her ex-boyfriend to get around, she now wants to purchase her own vehicle. She has $10,000 to put down on a 2005 V6 Mustang with a list price of $21,000. She has asked me to co-sign on the lien on the car for her. I spoke with a dealer in Vegas who related that with a substantial downpayment this would reduce her monthy payments coinsiderably. The dealer also related that based on the downpayment amount she may not need someone to co-sign for her. Do you think it would be in my best interest to put myself in this position with her and co-sign? She related her gratitude in having me doing this for her would be considerable. I'm a bit nervous about putting myself in this situation and any input would be helpful.
Jade has related to me that the reason she has come to me is because her credit is not very good. I agree, with a large downpayment her monthly payments would be minimal. She has it in her mind that by having me co-sign and putting everything in her name there would be no reponsibility on my part, which we all know is ludicrous. I am going to see that if at all possible by purchasing this vehicle she would not need a co-signer as long as the downpayment is substantial. I've discussed with her about buying a used vehicle which she is not interested in. She wants this car. Eastwestcpl, I understand your thoughts about the compensation she has received for her past films. If you look at my previous posts you will read that she totalled a friends car recently, no insurance, had to pay the lien off and purchase another car for them. This essentially tapped her out. This is another reason I'm reticent to help her. If she had taken my advice months ago and started her own website she more than likely wouldn't be in this position. I am going to discuss with the dealer what amount she would need to put down and not have a co-signer and hope for the best.
Gentlemen, I have read the "tea leaves" and the concensus is NOT to co-sign on this car for Jade. I agree with all of your comments and appreciate you all taking the time to give me your input. I spoke with a dealer in Vegas yesterday. He related that when he contacts the finance company he will relate that a downpayment would be made of $10,000, the list on an 05 Mustang would be $19,165 plus tax. He told me that if he tells them that there is a co-signer available and based on the amount down they may not require someone to co-sign. I figure I will pursue this route first as I want the car and financing in Jade's name. They will forward her the application to fill out and pursue this avenue. If this doesn't work I still will not co-sign. Jade related to me that if I did do this for her she would shoot 3 hours of film with me. A girl/girl, solo masturbation, POV, and also give me 2 personals over a week's period of time. What I may do is get everything set up, have her come here for the shoot and then afterwards relate that I am unable to do this for her. I would still compensate her for her time and the shoots but feel this amount would be pale in comparison as far as what I could really get myself into.

My experience with the pornstars I have dealt with in the past is that IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. Jade does have goals and aspirations. It's not easy to pursue them if she doesn't have transportaion. She's been in the business now for almost 5 years and really knows no other way to generate income. She dances at the Valley Ball which is almost an hour from her home. Jade lives in Ontario, California. The reason were dealing with a dealership in Vegas is that I have a friend there who may be able to work a deal for her on the financing. I feel that the only way she will be able to survive and change her career choice is to have transportation available. She hasn't reduced herself to anything. I know Jade did not work from December of 03 until July of 04. It's unfortunate that the people who are making the REAL money are the production studio's. If Jade was receiving residules from all the films she shot then she would be totally set up. The actress or actor is paid for the shoot and that's it, no points on the sales. When you refer to Jenna Jameson and others who have there own studio's and production company's that is where there making the real money, the sales of the video's. I know Veronica Lynn is taking this approach and eventually will be directing and producing her own films within her own production company. Jade is not f---ing for a car, she has agreed to work with me because she knows I'm a fan and I have treated her well in the past. If she wanted to she could shoot more film or f--- these guys as "personals" which she is unwilling to do. She really does enjoy dancing which I know she is still pursuing. But I think you guys are under the impression that someone of her nature can make $100's of thousands a year shooting porn. It's all how you market yourself in the business. As I said before she is really unaware of how marketable she is. If you take a proactive approach, which obviously Jade didn't do, you have the potential to make that kind of money and set up your own production company. In her case she has picked and chosen which studio's and director's she wants to work with. Sometimes she gets "cold feet" and doesn't even show up. She has many contacts to pursue in the business but is apprehensive because she really isn't into it. Alot of these girls are so young they really have no sense how to do business, plus they can be abused physically, sexually and psychologically which leaves a bad taste in their mouths, no pun intended. They like the idea of easy money. I think in Veronica Lynn's case, she's only 21, and has alot of time left to pursue and set up her own production company and benefit from a smart business plan.
