Who likes freecell??

I usually can solve them 90% of the time, sometimes it takes a second go, but this one I tried 10 different ways, 10+ different times to solve it and I'm stumped!! It's Number 598! It's the freecell challenge! Wheee. Lol.

Whoever solves it will have my undying respect, but you have to tell me the angle it took!

I did beat it after three tries.

I worked on the right hand side first and got the 8 and 9 out.

Very early the 3 rd row from the right was empty.

I did need to use every freecell very early. The 4s and a 3 were up there. Sorry I forgot what the other one was. I worked to get 3 of the free cells empty again and the focused on getting out the other 3 aces.

That was a tough one. I had the 4th row from the right empty first and then the 1st row on the left and then it was easy

Freecell 598

That was a good one MassageGirl. I love Freecell as a form of light cerebral exercise
Took me 3 attempts on #598.
I have an overall 70% success rate but that's because I keep trying on the ones that best me out of the gate. Some take 2, 3 or even 5 attempts.

Always be sure to identify, before you even start, if there are any 'same' cards buried in the top 2 rows. IE: Two black 7's buried deep. As well, identify before you start if 2 of the same are in the same column; IE 2 x red 8's and 2 x red 9's.
I find that sometimes, you have to approach the puzzle in the opposite manner to what your first instinct/review says.

9c-10d and 9h to 10c
take out the entire row 6 covering 9d and 9h (moves in between)
7d to 8c
6s to 7d
2s-3d now just one on board
take out row three and insert 5-4-3
take out row 5
the rest is history!!

Thanks for the details everest, but I still get stuck on the "7d to 8c" as I need to put the two up and that seems to max out the freecell and prohibit me from moving 3 cards which at that stage I need to do.

However, I would like to thank you for recommending spider as it is consoling me on finally getting stumped at freecell, and it is a lot of fun! I am starting out at just one suit, until I catch on to the nuances, but loving it so far!

Thank you Everest, no wonder I didn't get it! I have trouble seeing more than 3 or 4 moves ahead and that required some juggling, in fact I had to follow your instructions to the letter or I wouldn't have seen a few things. Sometimes I am just trying to tidy it up and get stuck without enough farsight.

Now I can put this behind me and my dreams will no longer be haunted! lol. How can I ever repay you? I.e. how many naked pictures would it take to make up for all the time it took you to spell it out for me? Photos are currency around here aren't they?

I did it in 4 trys Colleen, it was definately a tricky one for those of us that can't see 10+ moves ahead!

I have one written down that I finally gave up on recently...11839. Try it.
