I've been throwing my spare change into those 5 gallon water bottles for a few years now,came time to get rid of them as they were taking up too much room in my closet(3 of them)so I figured time to get rid of them.
Short story,,emptied some of it and started counting,,,,took me an hour to count what I emptied and was over a grand,,,phuck it,,,have a buddy who has one of those change counting machines,we start dumping it in,,,,,,,,holly fuck,,,,Total $25648.04 and over a $ in rejected coin!!

It was Safeway. They have a machine that you can dump your change into. Its spits out a receipt that you then can cash in. The charge was 10%. Which is to much.

Let's just assume all the coins are 2 dollar, which means you will have at least 12,924 of them. It will definately take more than an hour to count them...unless of course, your throw in some 100 dollar bills from time to time...

I believe it. Those bottles must have weighed a ton though. You gotta add the $30 bottle deposit (3 x $10) in there as well. Nice! Kinda like winning the Lottery! How long have been collecting? And... Did you take the time to check if there were any valuable coins mixed in there - pre-67 silver coins or rare older coins?

Yup,,couldn't lift them,tipped them over and rolled them down the hall and cut the bottoms with an exacto knife,,,,,about 4 years worth ,,,,,,,,,,,

I'm a collector and can here the differance when silver hits nickle so I alway have checked before I throw away my change lots of rejects from the machine though,havn't checked all of them.some aussy, greek?Will check later,,,I'm having another beer and still going holly fuck!!

- In about 8 months I empty all my spare change into a container ..... just quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies. I counted and wrapped them all up to a tune of $1350.00!!!!. If you roll them per bank guidelines, they have to exchange them for you. I suggest you discuss this matter with your own bank manager, and ask him to give you some guidance there. Most banks will give you a limit, and some may even want to charge you a fee, but the Bank Charter compels, the major banks anyway, financial institutions to provide this service to you. Good Luck!

K,I've inquired at 5 of the major financial institutions and they all tell me the same thing,,,,,I have to either roll it all (no service charge)or if they have to count and roll(ding me a service charge)phuck that!!!!
