No team has done anything to stand out from another so far. Who will be the points leader by the end of the NHL regular season? Who is the biggest surprise so far and which team has been a dissappointment so far?

The Senators have to be the biggest flop so far. The biggest surprise I guess would be montreal. I still wouldnt consider them being Canada's team.

To us Habs fans, no surprise at all. In fact they had an even better start last season, now that was a surprise. Why not? Sounds like a Laffs fan, so either way we don't care.

Watch out schizo_man, the next thing you know you will have a bunch of Flames fans telling you that 13 games doesn't make a season.

one of your posts I can't argue with

I can honestly say I've never felt a greater sense of Canadian pride then these last few years and even more so in the last 12 months with the selfless actions and brave spirit of our fighting men and women. They are truly heroes!

So far they have broken all the records for long distance kills, and have saved many of their fellow soldiers from being killed by morter and rocket attacks.
I'm aquainted with a soldier serving in Afghanistan, He believes a soldier kill in action in Sept will get the Victoria Cross, This unfortunately will give this war ligetamazse(fuck Spelling), this soldier apparently gave his life so that othwers would live, He is Canada's Team,All Canadians serving over seas should get medals, and more important our support

… interesting that the typical sports “best of” association has taken a, uhhh, twist. Hooah… or rather, hooeh :D

jjinvan/gravitas – you’re touting the marksmanship, right – the shooting skill aspect, right?

I do believe the military, at least the Canadian military (as I’m aware), takes pains to distance itself from awards for glorifying killing, particularly during war… certainly awards/medals for loss of life are a different matter - where recognition may be warranted.

You may recall there was a bit of a diplomatic flap some years back when the U.S. military wanted to award their Bronze Star to that group of 6 Canadian “advanced marksmen” serving during Operation Anaconda in Afghanistan.

… not to denigrate your “best of team”, but I’d suggest this link reinforces another one of those team oriented sayings - something about there being “no I in TEAM”.
