I'm betting on John McCain. He's white and destroyed all of his campaigners.

Obama is black, racisim is played a heavy part in the voters races.being muslim back ground a no-no,a divorced father-remarried mother. Not happy America family values. Refreshing ideas of Kennedy...well we all know what happened to JFK.

Hillary a woman forget it,,,showing tears on TV. She doesn't have ovaries of steel. Maybe in another century will America want a lady in the white house.
Take for Canada we got Kim Campbell 1st lady PM and how long did she in power?Forgetduhboutit.

as much as I would like to see the Democrat in power - but I don't think both candidates from the Democrats are good enough...- lets take away the racism issue, Obama is just not good enough, all talks, I don't think he can do any of those promises...
as much as I admire Ophrad - she should not have involved in the Obama thing...I don't think celebraties should publicly involved in this. It's because of Ophrad's influence and Obama is right now having the upper hand over Hillary...
and Hillary is a woman...- I don't think US citizens are ready to have a female president and she also cried on national TV.
I think John McCain will be the best bet to become the next president.

My money is on Obama.

As an american myself (residing in Vancouver, BC since 1977), the US is ready for a shift in generational power. Obama's presence has strongly connected with the disenfranchised voters and the young in record turnouts.

Experience is over-rated, eg George Bush, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter...

Obama is an intelligent man who will undoubtedly select intelligent, thoughtful advisors.

My heart says Obama but the big head says John McCain. I just don't see the USA ready to overcome years of racial strife AND vote for someone who is both inexperienced politically and slightly ambivalent with his stance on the various wars that the US is currently mired in.
I can only hope I'm misreading the US electorate from up here in Canada eh.

I think Obama,
But, I also believe he will get killed.
Negative, I know, but I actually believe he will not be around for long if he gets elected.

Not something that I feel very comfortable discussing, but it is a sad possibility.

Quite likely this election will prove to be the most important election in a very long time for the vice-presidential candidates selected Obama for the above stated, and McCain because of his age.

McCain and he'll have to pick a VP thats a little more conservative than himself to appease the further aligned to the right elements of the Republican party. Possible Romney or Huckabee

as the next US Prez.. The rebranding of the USA....

The hedge funds world is solidly behind Obama(the guy from Omaha was the very first to spot this "bargain". BTW Mr. Omaha backed Arnold also during the Calif's recall! Mr. Conan will be in the wing for some future prez election! Remember Mr. C smoked a Cuban Cigar while visiting North of 48!!!).

So nothing has changed except there will be a new coach for the populace and he will be tremendously popular with the third world (resource war, anyone???)

Time to keep an eye on Gold and Silver, especially Silver!!!
Arnold, having been born in Graz, Austria, is not eligible to become president of the United States of America without a constitutional amendment changing the requirement that the president must have been born in the USA. The chances of such a constitutional amendment ever being tabled, never mind ratified, are pretty slim.

Really the chances are pretty slim???

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/10/28/60minutes/main652046.shtml

How about Prez Arnold after Prez Obama?
Ummm, yes. Less than slim, actually. The page you cited is from October, 2004. Has an amendment been proposed to change the eligibility for who can be president in the three and a half years since then?

Remember the Equal Rights Amendment? Ten years after being proposed by congress, it had been ratified by only 35 states. For a constitutional amendment to pass, it must be ratified by three-quarters of the states. With there being 50 states, that means 38 states must ratify an amendment before it becomes part of the Constitution. Do you really think state legislatures controlled by Democrats will be in any hurry to ratify an amendment specifically designed to permit Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger to run for president? I doubt it. And even if it happened, it would take years before the requisite number of states ratified the amendment. So I wouldn't count on ever seeing The Terminator as president of the United States.

Perhaps do you really think there are differences between the two parties when they have the same $$$ backers??? It sure appears that folks like Buffett are as comfortable with a Republican Arnold or a Democrat Obama?? Hulk Hogan versus Macho Man, anyone??? No, one should not be too cynical in an Election Year!!!
Wow! The concept that a wealthy beyond imagination American might make contributions to both parties to ensure that he or she is fondly remembered by whomsoever wins the election simply blows my mind. Will wonders never cease?
