I got a bbj from an sp 5 weeks ago. about a week ago these tiny white dots started showing up on the skin of my penis (the shaft). They vary in size but most of them are like if you took a white pen and dabbed all over the skin. there are two particular ones that are larger but only slightly. They're raised to a point and no redness around any of them.

Today the skin around that area only starts getting dry and some skin pieces starts to shed too.

Does this sound like anything fishy?

Booked an appointment but the earliest date they have is in second week of April which is so far away.

Btw it's not white in color turns out it was just the light reflecting on it. They are skin tone and just small raised bumps. Small in size 1mm. No redness no sore no itch.

Hi palmmaster

It is hard to diagnose conditions over the internet as I would need to see it as well as do some tests and look at your medical history. What I can do is give you some suggestions on what to do next.

With any type of skin condition the best thing to do is to get a health care person to look at it. They can usually work out what it is by just looking at it.

There are many different things that can cause bumps on the genitals the most common one I see that is not an STI is sebaceous glands (oil glands), these are common on the penis and different sizes from person to person.

In regard to STI the most common ones that cause bumps are genital warts and molloscum.

As most STI do not show symptoms it would be best to get all the tests when you go for a checkup. Here is a link for the tests we recommend.

You can see any doctor for the exam and the testing.

thank health nurse. From pictures and research seems far from molloscum and different than genital warts.

Could it be herpes? although it also doesn't seem like it

I'm seeing my family doctor tomorrow and hopefully she could help

if it goes away by second week of august when i go into the clinic can they still test for anything?

Hi palm master

It is great that you are seeing your family doctor. From my experience someone really needs to look at it.

From what you have written it does not sound like herpes. Genital herpes typically has open sores.

There is a risk for certain STI with a bbbj like gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis. Most of the time these STI do not show symptoms so it would be worthwhile getting all the tests when you are at the clinic.

Your family doctor would be able to do all the STI tests when you visit her. Just mention you are concerned about some casual sex you had 5 weeks ago. Would you feel comfortable talking to her about this?

Thanks again health nurse.

I've checked with my doctor and she examined it and checked my nodes and everything and said does not look like any sort of STI. I was nervous at the time so I didn't even think about checking the other stuff.

I suppose I do have the appointment in two weeks to check it out, as I should give a bigger window for the syphilis check.

Hi HN,

Is it possible to show symptons of an STD on other parts of the body?

I am showing a couple hives on my forearms and red dots on my hands after seeing an SP for the first time in over six months last week. I'm probably overanalyzing but I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Hives on the forearms is not a symptom of STD's.
Syphilis can cause a red rash on the hands but it is a rash that comes and goes quite quickly.
I'm not sure what your risk for that would be but if it continues to worry you then it might be a good idea to go get testing.
