Want my address?Recently found an ATF in the reasonably priced category (about $85)- Dalmore 12
It’s the lowest priced Dalmore but damn good according to my taste buds
You can spend a pile of $$ on the other Dalmores. The Cambie store apparently has one at $44K ‼ and another at $33K
If someone picks up either of these two please offer me a dram
Actually there's been a raging debate between the Irish and Scots for centuries. The name 'whiskey or whisky' is from a Gaelic word dating back to 1000 AD.Go on a trip to Scotland , the birthplace.......it is a religion there.
And the Scotts are hilarious to get drunk with, if your Canadian.
Gimli thanks you.JP Wisers and Crown Royal are both fine and good Canadian whiskies. Don't have to get gouged by the liquor board.
I have spent an awful lot of time in Inverness , and the Northern Highlands, drinking whiskey, riding horses, and lifting the sacred Strongman Stones....and I learned a valuable lesson.Actually there's been a raging debate between the Irish and Scots for centuries. Who was first, who knows but these two countries do claim to be the originators. Both have nice and unique flavoured single malts.
Personally I like the single malts from the Scottish Highlands. LCB used to stock Royal Lochnagar and for the price point ($85), it was terrific. Oban still is one of the finest whiskeys I've enjoyed and that includes a few that are $300+ like MacCallan 18 yr old.
For blends Black Label has a nice smoky taste and Chivas blends are good too. Apparently the Royal Lochnagar is one of the whiskeys in Chivas.
Some great Whiskeys in your collection.anCnoc 12 is my favorite at the moment.
Second is anything Bruichladdich - 50% alc but you would never guess it - so well made.
