I have to go with Amanda Plummer. Her parts in So I Married An Axe Murderer and Needfull Things were pretty scary....she has the nutjob gal down to a T.

Good acting to say the least and I am damn glad I dont have to put my arm around her each night.

Wow good call!

I recently watched Atomic Blonde thinking how hot she is playing that part including nudity at her age.

I then looked at IMDB and recalled the 'Monster' part. Holy crap she has a great range of talent, beauty and does play the pyscho part extremely well.

Kathy Bates in Misery.
I forgot that one and I do concur.I have seen that movie a few times and when it gets down the ending and the confrontation where he goes nuts and is beating her with the typewriter and then the pig statue I am inside yelling "FUCK YEAH!!!!!....to be honest I have been loudly vocal about it as well.....good thing I did not see it in the theatre LOL

Good point I will say......Amanda Plummer is still pretty freaky in my books though.

She snapped into freak-mode quite easily in the diner scene in Pulp Fiction.

Sharon Stone In Basic Instinct.
As sexy as she was she was a murderer after all and played every one .

I liked her bad bitch in Total Recall too

I'd go with Charlize Theron as well - playing a real-life killer who had plenty of public exposure as to her personality, appearance, and demeanor was extra challenging. Showed incredible range.

Amanda Plummer does not get a lot of parts but you can bet your last dollar Quentin Tarrantino specifically chose her for the role of Yolanda in Pulp Fiction due to her freakyness.

Rosamund Pike. I know she played Amy so well in Gone Girl, but she has that sort of ice coldness that can come out when she needs it to. She looks like she would just be a normal person, but she can summon that sort of unnerving darkness when need be. Another good role of hers was the villainess in Die Another Day, but Gone Girl is way superior.

I think Cate Blanchett is due a good full-time psycho part. I can't think of one where she does it, but in 'Lord of the Rings', she goes psycho-ish for a few moments when talking with Frodo about the Ring - I would have been pooping hobbit-poops myself if I was Frodo! Scarier than any orc, orakai, Gollum or Ring Wraith!

She also played Gabriel I believe in 'Constantine' and was semi-psychotic there as well. I can easily see her playing a cold-blooded killer, slaying with a slight smile.
