So im 27 years of age and i think its time to get serious. where do people meet people of the opposite sex. i was out at a club last weekend and when I look around everyone is in their early 20s. so my question is where can i meet people around my age.

If your looking for something serious a club is the worst place - it's full of drunk horny stupid kids lol. I'm 24 and hardly go out to clubs etc because it's a waste of my time to hook up with a drunk 20year old. In my real life I meet the most men either at the grocery store, walking my dog or Starbucks lol. If you see a lady that catches your eye, smile, say something friendly ( not creepy) and see what happens, you might be surprised

hornyasian: We are in the same boat. I'm 25 turning 26 in the near future. Clubs are way below us when it comes to meeting women. If you are looking to meet girls closer to the mid 20s the best option that I'm finding is to join a co-ed sports league. There are tons of girls in Dodge-ball leagues and Volleyball leagues. Join as a free agent or form a team and you'll mostly likely be able to interact with other teams while you're there or after during social gatherings.
I've also tried online which was quite the epic fail. Met some really weird girls online. I've also tried E&A (Events and Adventures), although most people on that site are a bit older (29-35) than I am. There are some gems in the club, but it's a club for Singles. So you gotta show up and be willing to compete with other members for the girl. I was on the young end of the spectrum so I didn't meet any girls I wanted to date. I did however, meet some guys who I found would aid me (ie. Wingmen) and they intro me to new girls at their social gatherings.
Like I'm not sure what your social life is like and what you normally do. I think the first step is to just get out there and get involved.
Go volunteer. Or look at social calendars online. I think Wednesdays are Single's Night on Grouse Mountain. I've never been so I dunno what the age group of the people who go are.

Lol I meant I don't go to clubs because I have no interest in hooking up with a drunk 20 year old. If your serious about meeting someone my advice is too not look for women at clubs and talk to people you normally wouldn't. If alcohol is involved during your first meeting it's usually a bad sign. Be yourself and smile! Ask that cute woman at the grocery store for "advice" on a "recipe" you want to try, ask a lady waiting for her drink at your coffee shop what she thinks of their new "insert drink here.". If you want to meet a girl, you have to participate what girls like to do so you will have more chance to meet them. Have you tried hot yoga?

I found hot yoga very physically demanding that after the class I was always so tired and panting that I didn't really have the drive to initiate a conversation. Since speaking is not permitted in class and after class people head straight for the shower, when do you find the time to even speak? (I could speak to the staff or instructors, no problem

Seriously, though dogs are a great ice breaker. I assure you that a 20 something female would never talk to me if I were walking down the street alone unless she was hopelessly lost. If you have two dogs with you it is unreal how people are open to talking with you.

Uh, SPCA hires volunteers to walk dogs who are unadoptable and have them walk the dogs uaually in a certain area where they can't really run away or do harm to the general public. I doubt you'll get one of those cute chick magnet dogs.I have two.

Before I had a dog I had four cats. I've been a volunteer at the SPCA since I was 14. Started by just being company for cats but moved on to dog walking and other animals. Any type of volunteering is great for your community but also opens the door to meet people you normally wouldn't interact with. Try to be openminded to everyone, even if your not attracted to them--you never know who you may meet!
If your serious about meeting someone, avoid drunk chicks and clubs. Be yourself and smile! Make it a point to go out of your comfort zone and explore new things!! Good luck!

Where to meet girls? Hmm... they are everywhere!
So are you looking for a serious GF or something? Cuz me personally, I love the clubs still. I'm 30, and have way more game than when I was 21. It helps that I am still youthful looking, but I think my age is an advantage. I'm more "sophisticated" than the typical 21 year old frat boy. I have things that a 21 year old frat boy doesnt, but I can still throw down and have a killer time... Age is just a number, heck, ive met and dated 19 year olds that i met at the club. I love girls of all ages, but 18 - 24 is primo. Girls are everywhere, but my most success with relationships have come from work and, beleive it or not, the club. I dunno, thats just me.

Take up salsa dancing. Seriously, take some lessons and then hit the salsa clubs. The girls are good looking, friendly and typically much better quality than you'll find in the top 40 "watch meez caus i be bootiful" crowd. Also, people tend to frequent the same clubs on a regular basis...and since the clubs are usually fairly small, you have a decent chance of meeting up with the same people often.
This bodes well for hooking up with a nice young lady that you find interesting and attractive....
