right here and now
Agreed.....but I could say the same for you.
It's been awhile since we've heard from you.....you finally made bail?
I'm staying below the radar for the most part and saving my best stuff for the true nit-wits- you know, like the Dog Walker and his Kitty-Cat friend. These guys can't help coming across as A-holes with their short sighted and selfish, NIMBY observations.
I'd like to go down in Perbatory as the Great One #99- but there is still a ways to go. Help a brother out with pushing the count up?
Shit, almost forgot. I have to contact Mia/Sia/Tia/Gia/Via/Pia/Nia- or was it Tammy?- whatever her name is and cancel our 9:30 AM date. I've decided I'd rather just read.....

Oh!....so your saying Mia and Gia are available right now?
I think you pushed the count up a little today BTW...keep your stick on the ice.

I disagree. He had no business booking short notice if there was a chance he would have to work. Or at the very least he could have let her know "I'd like to see you asap but there is a slight chance i may get called in to work " . Let the decision be hers if she wants to take the chance or wait for a sure thing.
Try living in the real world.

I've been called in on days off, when I was off sick, and even away on holiday.

All without warning.

Different people have different circumstances. Just the other day, right after I received the buzzer information, I got a call from my business partner saying I'm needed right away to complete some documents at the bank. Being the logical person, I naturally made an excuse and continued with buzzing up anyways. I've never cancelled or no-showed last minute, but I'm sure there are flakers with legit reasons.

In softness, strength.
Where has common sense and common courtesy gone?

Now what's calling itself "common sense" online is a warped mockery of the real thing - invoked where you strap on your tinfoil hat and speak the most absurd shite in all creation, never mind logic or reality.

Common courtesy is neither common nor courteous. Actual politeness or respect has been replaced by some kind of weaponized outrage, where you automatically take offense at everything, whenever possible. It's actually a lucrative career for some people.
lol I read this and imediately thought of donald trump for some strange reason.
