More left/libertarian than Nelson Mandela, apparently. I guess I don't mind being in exactly the opposite square from George W Bush.

What always amazes me is (generally) the hypocracy of "conservatives"

They say they want less government in people's lives (free markets - without regulations) yet their "authoritarian" thinking that the state should be able to determine a woman's right to choose...

Always baffled me.

Hmmm, I'm more of a lefty than I thought. I'm going to go outside and give a tree a hug now.

This was a fun little test. I lined up right over the Dalai Lama.
I would change my board handle in his honour but I have a suspicion that it would be sacrilegious!
Plus I would loose my whopping 6 post count.

Because there were so many questions, I thought it might be interesting to take it again, a little more slowly, and be more careful in picking my "strongly"s. Nope, almost the same result - up half a square, and half a square to the left.

I was also trying to look carefully for bias in the questions, but couldn't find them...an interesting website.

i thought some of the questions didn't really present an answer that reflected my choice. probably they were the ones that really guaged my position the best

I think the questions were pretty fair generally; each proposition was pretty much something you can agree or disagree with -- or at least lean more towards one than the other -- this helps form a general profile of opinion/belief. An "i don't know/don't care" option would be less revealing.

I'm betting that the vast majority of Canadians land in the lower left quadrant.
