Great thread! I'm only 21 and I don't think you can really count your teenage years or younger as who you really are, because you're still figuring that out. But even in the past few years I've changed. I've definitely become more confident, more open-minded, a little less rambunctious, less careless, I know who I am now and what I want out of life, and I can't wait to see how I continue to change and grow

Younger vs older

When I was younger:-
1- I did not appreciate how much more mature the girls were!
2- I did not take advantage of the opportunities that were around me .
3- Every day was a party! Or at least I knew where the party was at.
4- The principal at elementary school called me " carrot top" before that was famous!
5- I should have kissed more girls!
6- I loved riding my bike!

Now that I am older and wiser?

When I was younger:

I had dark hair and all of it.
Loved women and still do.
Weigh the same as I did 30 + years ago.
Street fight less than I did. Actually don't fight now that I think of it.
Love nice cars and still do.
Realize much more how time with the people you love is precious.
Have a few more scars from fixing the things I messed up when I was younger, knees, shoulders, elbows.
Although I have less hair on my head, I notice it has been growing back in places I would rather it not.

The best is I have hundreds, maybe thousands more friends than I did when I was young.

When I was younger my vision of where I would be now was a great deal grander than the reality!

When I was younger I was very impatient of the failings of others.

Now, I can settle for the mundane knowing that 'one foot at a time' will ensure a comfortable retirement.

I am much more compassionate and understanding of human nature.

I am less likely to jump on my soap box and try to change others...I let them experience their own trial and error.
