When Did the Astoria Become so Popular?

I was cruising last night and the Astoria on Hastings and Hawk was lined out the door and to the street.

When did this drug-infested dive become so popular? The line had people in the 20's. They weren't crackheads or hos.

I wonder the same shit, but it's like that every weekend. Take a look at the crowd though!!! All friggen Punk Rockers that I can see. Bunch a jerk offs in camouflage pants and spikey hair. Some of the chicks outside are hotties, but obviously not hookers. Must be the live music that draws 'em in.

If you wanna kick it up a notch on the classy meter hit the Waldorf.

There's also a little shit hole bar in back of the Patricia. All 3 of which I've not been to.

If you guys read the Georgia Strait last year and flipped to the club listings page, you would have noticed the punk rock ad for the Cobalt has changed to the Asbalt, with As superimposed over the Co. So Vancouver's hard core punk scene is at the Astoria now.

i was driving by the Waldorf a couple of monthes ago on a friday night around 2am and the place was jumping. the parking lot was full and people were parking in the Crappy Tire parking lot across the street.

i pulled over and asked some people (hot young things no less)what was up and there was a rave going on downstairs. there was also a live dj in the 'Dorf.

the girls there were hot. if you like the 20 year old club chicks.
