When and where are you going to travel again?

I"m currently suffering a COVID lockdown mental breakdown, and counting the days i can freely travel again.

My next move is probably to Bangkok/Pattaya in October, as by that time, NO QUARRANTINE is required if you've had your vaccinaction. Currently, if you goto Thailand now you will need to quarrantine for 10 days at a gov't arranged hotel at a cost of roughly $1000 total. Not to mention you may need to also quarrantine at a hotel in Vancouver (starting at $1000 also) when you return, but hopefully that will be scrapped by the summer.

Had 2 cruises booked for this year, both were canceled and money refunded. Planning to head to Mexico in early December and spend a few months there. Looks like I might possibly be able to cruise Hawaii in April 2022, and Alaska in August, which were the cruises canceled.

The Canadian quarrantine hotels are extended another month (end of May) so there is a chance a return quarrantine may end at that time if not extended again.

As much as I want to there will probably be a horrific crush of people trying to jam themselves into planes, trains and automobiles to be anywhere but home.
The concept of being pressed up against a crowd of people is kind of revolting right now, let alone vying for spots with a thousand more people than usual.

I think some time away would be nice. A road trip to a couple of small towns. Maybe see a giant penny or something.
The plans for Paris, London and Prague will have to wait for another day.

I had planned on visiting Japan, Korea and either the Philippines or Thailand last spring. I believe Thailand could be viable towards the end of this year but I look forward to starting closer to home. A road trip in BC after May long for starters, a week or two in Quebec this summer pending significant amelioration of Covid and California once quarantine is dropped.
I’m hopefully-optimistic there will be quarantine-free international travel to select nations by fall. I haven’t been on a plane since right before all this started and the thought of cramming in one in the near future doesn’t sound fun. Looking forward to the opportunity regardless.

You can, you just may have to do mandatory hotel quarrrantine for $2000.

When the hotel quarrrantine ends, I'm going to either Tiajauna, Costa Rica or Dominican Republic, the only countries right now that allow Canadians without PCR testing or any other difficulties now.

Other countries allowing tourism require a PCR test within 72 hrs, and possibly quarrrantine on arrival

I have long stopped following covid news, because it just doesn't seem hopeful reading them. Since mandatory quarantine is in place for travelers it pretty much killed any will I have to travel, because my broke ass won't be able to afford mandatory quarantine to and back.

Although I do have a list of countries I want to visit once travel is completely back to normal. On the top of my list are Mexico, Colombia and Thailand.

In my opinion now is not the best time to travel even if the borders are magically open tomorrow. The travel destinations have suffered greatly from the pandemic and are on recovery phase right now. Like the pooner above mentioned, sex tourism might not be as awesome as pre-covid with all the protocols in place.

I long for the day not only tourism, but sex tourism is back to normal to travel again. Until then, I will try hard to save and support local talents. ☕

I somewhat disagree with BigRawd - it may not be the 'best' time to travel, but its certainly not a 'bad' time to travel if there are no quarrantine/travel restrictions and you are vaccinated or don't mind the health risks.

I was in Hong Kong and Adelita last November. None of the ladies wore masks or seem to worry about that shit. I had a couple give me the kitchen sink and than some. Yes there have been some bad service along with ladies you long for years later, its just luck of the draw like anything in life.

Prices are not cheap anymore. 80-100 bucks than 21 bucks for the room at HK for half an hour. That is no bargain compared to Canada. But its the only red light district within a few hours flight from this area.

Philippines in September on my books right now. Thinking about 4 weeks to completely unstress and get in the right frame of mind.

Yeah, you are correct. When you go to Hong Kong on a Thurs to Saturday night when the talent really comes out you will see how limited the action is pretty much all over North America. I have currently going thru Tijuana withdrawls. 4 more months to go till I go again.
