Be Aware

I have been in that situation. Once you become more familiar with her and start a relationship, how is she to survive by leaving the profession? She may take another job at a lot less pay and have to change her life style. If you have another life and plan to have a secret relationship with her, then are you not obligated to help her survive? But where is it heading? Both of you changing your lifestyles ... still sneaking around, etc. Either, remain as a loyal customer and respect her decision to stay in the business or make her your one and only, forgetting her participation in the business. Maybe some can work things out differently, but we all have certain feelings and goals. Be careful. One or both of you can be hurt.

Just one. The other two have been while I have been working. One as the aforementioned client turned boyfriend (after a year or so of plutonic friendship).

And yes, both of these men are very aware of this part of my life, never took a penny from me, and would be/have been more than willing to support me emotionally and financially when I decide to leave.

* I always feel the need to defend a mans decision to be with a provider, as the general held belief seems to be that they are either trying to mooch money off of us, are unwilling to provide for us, or are somewhat less of a man for 'allowing' us to continue working. I am here because I want to be - not because I need to be. And the men whom I have had relationships with may dislike this aspect of my life, but they do realize that it is somethng I am choosing to do. It doesn't define me. And if I hadn't chosen this path, I would be a completely different person today than the woman they fell in love with. I will leave when I am ready, when I have gotten everything I 'need' from these sorts of arrangements (and no, that isn't money. I am actually doing quite well with another business I own).

Okay, that was a long rant for a very simple answer. Sorry :)

In a past life, I dated a young dancer for about six months. We had great sex, fought like cats and dogs, and she generally turned my world upside down. One day, we were discussing why she broke up with her previous boyfriend. She said, because when she decided to become a stripper, he didn't stop her. That stunned me. "What? Then what does that say about me?"

She answered, "Yeah, what does that say about you? How can you let me do this?"

"Let you? You'd tell me what's what if I told you what to do. You'd say 'Fuck you! You can't tell me how to live my life.'"

"True, I would. But you could tell me anyway."

That was like the moment where Kirk causes the almighty alien computer to self-destruct pondering some irrational human contradiction. Ok then quit. "Fuck you." Eventually she did quit, and she was happier, but struggled financially.

"Need"?

Never seen any of the providers state that before. What is it you "need" from these sorts of arrangements?
