What's your top speed, in what kind of vehicle and where?

My favourite place to speed was a long straight stretch of the Connector between Kelowna and Merritt, but my top speed was only 140 kms cause I'm afraid of losing control.

Got a photo radar ticket doing 160 in my 1982 Toyota Supra heading to YVR. Lucky for me it was in the testing stage.
190 in a stretch of highway going to Mont Tremblant. 2014 Dodge Challenger ME. Sweet car to drive and hardly felt anything.

Back in my home town many years ago, a friend had his Camero sooped up. We then took it for a test run down a long freeway stretch. I remember seeing it 145 mph. Thankfully, there were no sharp turns on the route we took.

That was once and last time I experienced top speed like that in a vehicle. A speed rush no doubt. :thumb:

I love the butterfly's. I still enjoy the rides at P.N.E as well. When I was a kid there was a steep hill I used to close my eye take my hands off of the bike I had and fly down it. Just over 180 mph on my race bike in the 1/4 mile. On the street (connector Merritt to Kelowna with no one around...I am not an idiot who risks other peoples' lives) I have topped out my old Ducati 1098 so about the same 180-190 mph

The acceleration at take off was mind boggling. He took it pretty easy with me but I must admit that there were a couple of times in turns and dives that I thought my stomach was going to come out my mouth.

I'm still thinking MPH, once in a dually truck I was towing a trailer out in the desert at 80 mph and my know it all backseat driver was flapping his gums about you can't tow that fast because you'll get a high speed trailer wobble,so like an idiot I said with the right truck you can,so I stood on it to about 130 mph then the visor blew off the roof and I knew who the idiot was,me,so I slowed down.
In a rental car with a digital speedo out in the Arizona desert I was trying to see where the speedo would stop and I had it pegged at 136 mph and it wouldn't go any faster, then my buddy sleeping beside me woke up and looked up and the cactus were flying by like a picket fence and said holy shit how fast are you going and I said 136 but that's fuck all there's a guy in front of us pulling away in a Taurus Station Wagon
