I love hearing about people's travels and adventures. What's your favourite travel place? What do you do/see when you go there?

Personally, my favourite is New York!! I could live there forever :) But I haven't been to that many places yet, so that may change the more I check off my list. I eventually want to see the whole world! :p

Visiting Paris and living there unexpectedly for a time when I was 22 was one of the best things ever in my life. I met a woman, had a crazy love affair, and fell in "with the locals". lasted four months. Blew up because she was into hard drugs and I most definitely was not, but it was still amazing. I love Paris and every memory it brings back.

Very hard to say for I like many places for different reasons.

Tuscany for the food.
Paris for the romance.
Bordeaux for the scenic landscapes.
London for the performing arts.
Morocco for being in an entirely different culture.
Japan for the customs and natural beauty.

Agree with New York (my favourite destination of all time), also Chicago's a great city! Great Restaurants, great architecture, great sports venues, great museums, galleries and concert halls!

Domestically Banff. All the best of the Canadian outdoors, love to grab my camera and go exploring! Just so beautiful out there.

Got some family in Tokyo... Been a few times and it always blows my mind. Love the food, beer, ease of transportation, and the women! I do believe I saw the most attractive woman I've ever seen there. She had a huge Diana Ross like afro and the most striking face, big almost green eyes, and impeccable fashion. I almost fell over when I saw her... shocking beauty.

Gotta love Hawaii too... 5 hours on a plane is just too easy and the minute you step out of it that humid but fresh ocean air just makes every ache and pain disappear.

Vancouver Island is stellar right now... I'm about a 4 minute quad ride away from a perfect freshwater swimming hole. What the hell am I doing inside right now?

Vancouver. No place like it anywhere.
Bingo. Y'all don't really realise what you have. It's less Americanised than England, weather is better too!
Don't get me wrong... I LOVE living in Vancouver... but the question was favourite place to travel.... I've travelled much in the last few years... always nice to come home!

My point was there's just no need to travel when you live here ;)
Yeah completely disagree with that statement. But my disagreement also supports your argument.

Why? Because oftentimes when I travel --- especially to the States --- it makes me appreciate more what we have here in Vancouver. :) Feel the same way when I travel to a less privileged part of the world.

That said, travel opens up your eyes and horizons a bit. I love experiencing other cultures, and if there's one thing Vancouver can lack, that's interesting culture. We have a lot of fantastic things and environments here, but we could also be better (I feel this way everytime I come back from Europe).

Love leaving the airport in Montego Bay Jamaica and smelling that fresh ocean air as I begin the drive the Negril.

Can not wait to go back to Australia and spend time along the coast, Fraser Island, Airlie Beach, Sydney, Melbourne and the Daintree Rain Forest are all areas I would love to get back to.

People watching on the strip in Vegas is always fun.
