So far, everyone here is trying to figure out the difference, comparing one tyoe of lady to another. In my opinion here is the difference, and it has nothing to do with the ladies. The difference between ho/hooker and prostitute/escort is equal to the difference in the amount of class between a guy who calls thems ho's and hookers and a guy who calls them prostitutes/hookers.

The jobs might be the same but the attitudes vary greatly.

The difference lies not in what they do, but who they are.

Through the use of labels, men degrade, pigeon-hole, or attempt to subjugate women as a method to control them, and what they do. An independent woman is a threat to men's security about themselves, how they view the World and more important, how men think this World should be run. This is especially prevalent in archaic societies, but also exists to a greater or lesser degree in more progressive ones.

This is an ancient paradox that may never be resolved. Let's not be too quick to rationalize their choices in life, and let them be what they are...

Now explain this to me again... in what way are they free? Unless you're seeing a different group of women than I am.

Hate to tell you the truth... only we respect ourselves, none of those sexually repressed people (those that won't pay or receive $ for sex) will give either sp's or their clients any respect, read the papers lately?

We have not repect... we are all dirty... yum

Very true. I would also add that an escort/courtesan provides good companionship as well as sex, and doesn't make you feel like you paid for it.

Personally I just love a good HO, she is proud to be a good HO, just because she is a Ho doesn't mean she cant take pride in her chosen profession. There is no such thing a job that can't be well done including this one.
Sage words, Hatrick. A good ho works way harder than I do. Thinking about how the best ones really go the extra mile to deliver, I'm inspired to do better.

What a load. A full, sumptuous bowel movement, like none seen since the Fourth Dynasty (The Great Pile of Khufu).

How 'bout a courtesy flush?

I was brought up to respect people. I find many descriptions very demeaning.

Therefore any time I spend with the ladies providing services for me is done with respect. Any references made regarding my reviews, I will use their name wherever possible but never call them down by using some of the discriptions used for their profession.

I believe this attitude goes a long way to making any session comfortable and enjoyable for both of us. YMMV

I totally agree with you. That is one of the many reasons why ladies always ask me to return!;)

I absolutly agree with G.A. .....Being Catholic....I was brought up the same way.....Guys and girls get together and play for abit......it's about respect to one another.....none of us....on this planet walk on water......treat people as you'd want to be treated!!! That's pretty well the bottom line!!!
I never ever agreed on these terminologies to begin with......women always seem to get the degraded in one form or another........we'll ....truth be told.....there's word for us guys too.......wether or not we pay for it or don't!!!
Guys go into a nightclub......scan the place whatever....when we see these gorgeous girls......one thing goes through our minds....that's it.......
I can speak for myself.....when I played the music scene here.....one stands were a dime a dozen for me.....there you go I said it......
Bottom line is.......we all have needs....
we all can have the house on Beverly Hills!!!
So for me .....it is respect to one another.....hey....who knows.....you gain a new friend maybe!!!!:p :)

That's my say!!!
Cheers!!!!:) :) :) :)

Rollerboy, if you disagree with my opinions, that's fine, but kindly do so respectfully by refuting my points, not the way you did it. I have no intention of responding in kind, although I'm sorely tempted. It seems to me we got into it once before, with the result that you were banned.

Anyway, my point was that, ultimately, the difference is in how they make me feel, both during and after the encounter.

Well, that and a steady stream of money. :)

I see this is more about simple delusion than words. I'm beginning to see how Hatrick is more evolved than most of us. Ho is an honest, direct word, without pretense. You start drawing imaginary lines between courtesans and ho's, believing in imaginary bonds of intimacy and trust.

Ho is the right word. It's a wakeup word. That's why it upsets people content in a dream.

You're imagining things, son of Khufu. I've never been banned (knock on wood).

Besides, my comments were about the load, not the man.

Well, then, sorry I maligned you. I was sure it was you. It was over a year ago, and I don't remember what it was all about, just like, a year from now, I'll have no recollection of this thread.

Besides, my comments were about the load, not the man.
I know, but it would have made more sense to state why you disagreed with me. Over and out.

For me....

I just love the word "hooker." It conjures up vivid visions of fishnet stockings, tight pants/shorts, pouty lips and a look in the eye that says come fuck me and the cheapest perfume money can buy. Bu-t-full.

The final act is the same, is it how they play the game or what ....?

Personally, I prefer the term "escort" though for reasons of discretion, spending time outside of closed doors with "other" women hasn't and will probably never happen.
Good topic you picked. Comments keep going on & on. Makes for interesting and fun reading.

I'm with Maury Beniowski

The fact is that women provide a form of comfort to us be it sensual or otherwise. There seems some need in all of us to be touched, to be cared for and when we do not get it in our normal daily life, we go elsewhere to get it.

It is probably related to some form of shame, that certain men have to demean and point at (to them) the least flattering aspect of the service many women provide us with. To label someone who is trying to please you with a service which fills some need is a bit hipocritical in my humble view.

After all, we are partners in the same act....

I suppose the labels are not so bad as the connotations we historically have associated with them. The sp's would likely have their own sensitivities in terms of how they see themselves and respecting their feelings is only good manners.

To most I would think it is a simple choice of a job or not, (no english, no job in this country) this lifestyle or that, an education or none, or feeding their children or not. We have probably moved from an older society where only those with no other choices entered the business to women from any level of society. Any demeaning label or negative connotation is probably outdated in todays world.

After all, economics aside, it is supposed to be a free country.

not that I know anything, just some thoughts

I'm probably in my house.
I suppose this is one of those things where context makes most of the difference. In one of our on-line conversations both Veronica Monet (Veronica Monet's Sex Secrets of Escorts - Tips From a Pro ) and I agreed the word "whore" was on of our favorites. It's got a good sound to it. I probably wouldn't like it coming from a client, no more then the client would like to be called a "john" or whatever other name is out there for punters.
