Been a long time reader and now registered. For those with experience in university and also law, I would love to get some perspective. Back in 2015, I registered for a doctorate in business at an online university in the UK. They set me up with a supervisor and I started my studies. During this time, he would sign off on my progress reports that I was doing awesome and progressing well - I have these documents and all the emails. He was a lazy fuck and didnt really know a hellofalot, so I did a lot of work myself. At the end, he was even editing his own edits. On to the final presentation, and the head of the university grills me for 4 hours and then tells me that my work was never good enough and I had to start from scratch. The supervisor then says that its up to me and the university and his work is done. I am pissed and hired a lawyer in the UK to pursue a breach of contract. What would you do?
