If a lady doesnt put out by the second date there is no third one. Cook dinner at your place with lotsa wine and indulge in some good old fashioned 3 holing.

Every case is different. I know one woman who, when she's really interested in someone, specifically waits until the fourth date, JUST to get rid of the third date rule guys...

Spending a day at Granville Island is always a nice date...walk around, hold hands, kiss, get a hardon...lol

Vancouver Art Gallery has that Monet & Van Gogh exhibit, she might like that. The aquarium is popular with the ladies. Gastown and the CN IMAX is good too. Go to North Van and do the Suspension Bridge. How about catching a ball game at the Nat? Taking a drive out to White Rock or Steveston is a nice date. Take her to one of those skyhigh revolving restaurants. Go to a pitch and putt. Lots of choices out there for good dates.

This is hardly the best place for dating advice but:

If you've gotten three dates (12 hours) and are planning a fourth she is 90% decided on you one way or the other. If you are talking about a weekend away already chances are you only have to avoid a huge mistake like taking her to a Star Trek convention dressed in your full Klingon regalia.

Sounds like you've done OK so far. You have reached the magical stage when where you go doesn't really matter much. Based on what you've done on the first three I suggest you take it down a notch. Make it fun and casual. A walk, a drive, the aquarium, rent a cycle and have coffee on Salt Spring, that sort of thing. Focus on activities where you can relax and just enjoy one another's company. If you are having fun, the rest comes naturally.

I was very nervous getting back into dating myself and I overworked it. If you click, as you go along, the place doesn't matter much. If its a disaster, then it can be a shared disaster. Keep a sense of humour, talk with the person about what they like and you like and with a casual date you can change it if say the weather doesn't work out.

what fun/casual yet romantic things are there to do in Vancouver that could continue to move things along ?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I suggest find something that YOU want to do (that you would be doing even if it wasn't a date night) and take her along. She'll enjoy it more seeing you relaxed and having fun.

Not to come off negative, but, it's your fourth date! You have seen her 3 times already. What have you learned about her in the past 3 dates? You must know something about her and her interests.
I hope whatever you choose to do works out for the best and things go great for you. I just hope we don't have a thread next year titled, "What to do for a date on your one year anniversary."
;)

Awww Jenn. If he's like me returning to the dating scene was really tough! I was never that good at it the first time through and there weren't a lot of peers (like when I was back in school) for advice. I got through it, but I understand his need for handholding. And I discovered, like most things in life, I was much better at it the second time around. And, at a minimum I think its one of the more interesting threads I've read.

I heard that the best date ideas to help you get laid are:

1.) Dancing in a classier club (i.e. not the Stone Temple). think Salsa dancing

2.) Casino

3.) Tapas

4.) Costume Party........Sin City!!

He already has 12 hours of comfort with this women, he should be able to fuck her with out any problem. I think he's falling in the trap of the guy who a women uses for free dinners and entertainment . If he don't act soon, he will end up like a another AFC.
