Just wondering what everyone perfers or did perfer when it comes to Social Networking.

I only use and have used one social networking and that was/is Facebook. I knew about it before I joined that but never care about it untill a few friends like begged me to join. I never did like joining any of them because I found them pretty pointless and boring - from when my sister was on nexopia like everytime she went on the computer. I always said " Like wtf is the point of this bullshit? It's so dumb".

Well when I first joined Facebook I used to be a Facebook "junkie" haha. Slowly eased off but I still go on it everyday for like 10 mins just to see whats up.

I always like Facebook better than anything - I've found spam & fake profiles are very minimum (compared to the shitpile that is MySpace) - and I have connected with a lot of old friends I have not seen in years.

Granted the Applications are a little silly at times, but it's still a great way to connect with people. I used to be majorly addicted, but I find myself checking out FB maybe once a week, now...

It is one of the many things I just don't understand. The telephone is good if you need to contact someone...answering machines are a great innovation that allows you control of whether you want to reply right away.

Sending letters still works well if you desire a personal touch.

The new-fangled email is also very handy, and I like it a lot.

What is this facebook thingy, anyway? Why do you want strangers or people you don't bother to communicate with anyway know what you are up to?

Puzzled....

I clicked facebook. I don't know if prefer is the right term, since I don't like it.

It is useful to plan parties or large social gatherings, one email beats 20 phone calls.

I just get creeped out when people you barely knew 15 years back, add you. Its like "hey remember me, I was in grade 10 math with you, we never actually ever spoke or were friends, but thought I would add you anyways"

I even had the kid sister of a guy I haven't been friends with since I was 13, add me. Last time I saw her I was 13, she was 11. That's over 20 years ago.

Also so many people don't know how to use it properly. Like where you can put 'what you are thinking' beside your name. Well my coworker put something like ...."is happy its 420 day bring out the bong" its no big deal, but I really doubt she wants her whole family, or the office here to know that.

That's why I periodically go thru my list & trim the fat... LOL

A few months back Burger King was offering a free Whopper if you deleted 10 friends. Man, that Whopper was great!!! :p

Facebook is a great way to make people think you care about them... you just don't care enough to call, or make plans to see them in person, but you can poke them or comment on their "status"...

All social networking is evil.

Why isn't there a perb facebook group?

What is this "so-itch-all net-war-king" of which you speak? I have only recently learned of your Earth concept of Love. Is it like your Earthling "kiss-sing"?

Ugh, I can't imagine signing up for Facebook. I spend enough time not answering emails as it is.

That is one of the many great things about Facebook - you can create your own group and call it "Perb" or something LOL.

Facebook is a great way to catch up with great friends that you have had in the past that went away to somewhere like in Montreal or somewhere far.

Just don't add people you don't know or who you don't want to add.

I agree though this new Facebook is really stupid. I mean, like how it shows what you have posted on someone elses wall and how it tells everyone who you just became friends with.

Phone calls... Long distance anyone?

Emails... I think anyone who has Facebook would check their Facebook before they check their emails; I think.

Nexopia... what a joke that was. LMFAO.

I love facebook. Helps me to keep in contact with family and friends that I wouldn't normally. The Apps are addictive as hell...
It's not hard to protect your privacy on it, I limit who can contact me, or see my profile, and I make the choice of what to freely advertise on my profile to those on my friends list.

Nexopia is cool if you're 14

Very true.

I like the texas hold em poker app, pimp fight and Daily babe of the week and College daily babe of the weed edition.
